I would buy it.

I doubt Echo Bridge would ever put effort into something like that though.

I would. Seeing the work they're doing with Godzilla Vs Biollante and that, from what I've understand, the master is with Miramax, I think they can do a fine job with the Producer's Cut in terms of restoration and extras (if any).

Lionsgate have the rights in the UK, they haven't released any of the Halloweens on bluray as of yet, I wonder maybe they might do something with H6 and the producers cut as they have released most of the other titles from the miramax/dimension catalog but seem to be holding off on Halloween 6-8

I would, simply because I'm sure the quality would be better than my bootleg at the very least. Honestly though, I don't see this ever getting released unless somebody like Scream Factory gets ahold of it. They've been impressing the hell out of me so far.

I'll only purchase a fully authorized (read: complete Director involvement) SE of any alternate version of Halloween 6. Somehow I don't think Echo Bridge would be interested in doing it. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

Echo Bridge is not all bad like everyone says. They offer affordable collections of films that I love to watch. Actually, their Blu-rays of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and Resurrection look great! H20 looks good. For the price Incan complain. A company like Criterion could make an amazing release of movies like this and then charge $40 per disc. No thanks.

Echo Bridge makes fairly horrid releases but, their Halloween triple pack is fairly good for $7.99 and Godzilla vs. Biolante is looking like a good release.

No there triple pack is much worse than Alliance's triple pack of the same content.

I actually own it. H20 has poor audio and all films are in open matte, but they look passable. Obviously not great but, decent considering the price. Curse and Resurrection sound fine. I recommend the EB triple pack over the Alliance one because of the more reasonable price. Curse looks the same and Resurrection and H20 look the same except they're in open matte. H20's transfer is literally the SAME but, with 5.1 audio and the correct ratio.

I'm not an extremely psycho obsessive collector. I love to collect Blu-rays but, I'm not going to spend a ridiculous amount of money just because I want three Halloween films that aren't even my favorites in the series(H20 is decent and Resurrection and Curse are bad). Still, I need them to complete the series on BD, so EB's triple pack will do.

Even more wrong, If you don't like them enough to buy halfway decent versions of them- don't buy them.
Really simple.

Or you could just not criticize someone who doesn't feel the same way you do. Agree to disagree and move on.

I only criticize the opinions of others when they are wrong.
It's not a disagreement if someone is wrong, then it's advice.

So H20 is open matte but it has the correct ratio? It can't be both. What is it? I've already purchased all three singlets, so the ratio would have to be correct for me to consider buying the pack.

You do realize that, using Amazon.com/ca, the Alliance pack would come to be $0.97 more expensive than the EB pack, which, if anything like it's singlet, has a destroyed version of H20. This is without hunting for a better deal though, as I've just used the official Amazon sites (with standard international shipping for .ca & standard for US), but I don't really see why you'd recommend the EB pack due to cost. If you can't spend the extra dollar to get a quality release of H20 you should just buy the DVD. It looks better than the EB blu anyways.

Where did you get that number from? The actual price of the pack from Canada (amazon.ca before shipping) is $16.05 and the EB pack from the US is $23.21 (amazon.com before shipping). Admittedly the shipping charge is of course larger for the Alliance pack (if shipping to the US), but the total cost (with shipping included) is only $0.97 more expensive if you use standard shipping.
