Placed it with all the other J-cards at the bottom of the bookcase.

One of the things I love about this release is you see different levels of stars on the cover depending on how much light is hitting it, it might sound silly but it looks really cool.

Just wanted to see what everyone else planned on doing with it.
The jcard always comes off easily. The adhesive used isn't that strong so, don't worry about it peeling away at the package. I store my jcards in a drawer. I like to hold on to those, in case I ever plan on selling the movie, or just for reference, when looking up specs on the disc. Enjoy the movie. I watched my copy last night. Was such a fun movie to watch again after all these years. The disc looked, and sounded great. I'll have to dig into the special features soon. Highly looking forward to those.

Thanks for verifying that for me. Ever since The Princess Bride Criterion glue fiasco I’ve been rather cautious when it comes to tearing them off. I do like to keep them too (as it’s nice to have a list of specs & special features) and I like your drawer idea.

Quick question, does the ASNDI tracking to the States ever work? Mine has always shown that it departed the Amazon warehouse and that is it.

I don't believe so. I only seem to get tracking with DHL. Gives me updates on the site, and texts.

It did for like two orders months ago. Now, ever since like ~April, all of my orders sent through ASNDI show as "On the way, but it's running late" even though I got them all (thank God).

I've gotten tracking from them a year or two ago that worked, but the last 3-4 packages that even had tracking never worked.

I almost always try to use AGS these day to upgrade to I-parcel which does have working tracking and faster to boot. If I order 2-3 titles at a time, it's often the same cost or cheaper sometimes.

What sort of compensation are people being offered, if any, for damaged ones? I take it replacements aren't available.

My copy arrived in the same packaging noted above. After removing the plastic, I found it was pristine.

Ordering from the UK is always a stresser, so I'm happy...

I emailed them the day it arrived about the damage, and the response I had was there was a problem with my card
Went into the bank and all is fine.
Emailed them back, and long story short, was told there's no more stock so to keep this one and have a full refund

Probably the Cinema Club release.

I was under the impression the UK VHS version was slightly superior.

Sainsbury's in the UK have this new remaster for £15 in standard packaging minus all the fancy packaging/booklet etc. if anyone is interested - may be store specific.

Gonna pick one up later to retire the old BD

They did that with The Amityville Horror when it was just the steelbook available through other retailers. I don't know if they've done it with other releases but that one was definitely available in some Sainsbury's stores before the general release of the standard version.

Received mine from RAREWAVES today. Absolutely mint, not a scratch on it.

I cannot believe how fast this came.

Is it likely that a standard edition will be widely available? And if so would that be several months away?
