Wally Mart should do away with all those stupid bins.
Instead arrange the movies on shelves, where shoppers can actually find the flicks they want to buy.

I hate searching in them because people stick their dirty hands in them. I mean granted everything is dirty but God some of the people I've seen rummaging around in those things makes me want to wear a Hazmat suit.

While the WM bins can be a bit gnarly, there are/were some gems at my local Wallyworld. But hey, I collected beer cans in the late 60'
s/early 70's when it was vogue, so dumpster diving is nothing new.

I found the following :

Once Upon a Time in the West
American Beauty (Sapphire Series with slip in VGC)
Barbarella (this may have been a price mistake but they honored it; Jane is smokin')
Ray (not the Univ. 100th)
The Color of Money (I know the transfer is crap but it's PN and the best price I've seen)
Walk the Line

For some reason, my store had about a bazillion copies of Suckerpunch in the bin. Also a bunch of copies of Red, but I already own that. Great, fun flick if you don't already own it. And Once Upon a Time in the West is an absolute classic from Leone.

It's sad to see that many people are not taking advantage of these bins. It is kind of stupid that you have to spend time shuffling through all of them but in the Columbus, Ohio Wal-Marts the employees are actually nice enough to stack the titles neatly in the bins and they seperate them alphabetically even. So far I've picked up:

Almost Famous w/ slip
American Beauty w/ slip
Dawn of The Dead BD/DVD combo
The Hurt Locker
Inside Man

I even saw a couple of titles like Fast Five and Cowboys & Aliens in there but I figured some ass just threw them in there but they rang up 7.88! I didn't get them because I already own Fast Five unfortunately bought that one at full price.

I've also seen Once Upon A Time in The West with a slip cover that I wanted but talked myself out of it since it is already on Netflix. May change my mind later.

^^Yeah, I saw this for the first time the other day at a local Wal Mart. Was quite a sight and wish more stores did this. It would definitely make me look through them more.

But are they the round plastic bins or the nice cardboard ones?

The round ones aren't worth digging in. The cardboard ones I would be willing to look because you don't even need to dig.

It's the rounded ones. Can't believe they threw slipped BDs in there, but they did.

After having a dump bin for months my WM got rid of it! WTF?!

Yeah, my Walmart got rid of the blu-ray dump bin as well. There's still two DVD dump bins though.

I was trying to look in the $7.88 dump bin at Walmart today and some dude was also looking. He was being a douchebag though because he was tossing movies he didn't want over to the area I was trying to look in, so I mumbled an obscene response, shoved a bunch of Blu-rays over in his direction and I just walked away. If you wanna be a dick to me, be prepared to get treated like one in return.
