I'm all for another Star Wars series. They can go The Knight of the Old Republic route. They don't have to continue with the Luke, Leia, and Solo storyline

Hmmm im a fan of the original trilogy and found the new ones poor, as did many. I lost my way with the force...

But with a new director , and a new trilogy comes.....a new hope

Seriously, though. I have mixed emotions. It's the end of an era with George Lucas, but I'm exited to see what Disney can do.

They could just buy him. Sure, they'd have to change some laws and stuff but I don't see that being a problem.

Paramount has distribution rights. They don't own anything else (the characters, the name, etc.)

Scratch my last post. Disney and Paramount are working on a deal with Indiana Jones. The Mouse House will eventually have Mr. Jones.

Because we love Star Wars and want to see more movies.

You can be excited about things you enjoy, and we can be excited about Star Wars. No reason to be angry and overdramatic on the subject.

In case you haven't noticed - it is broke. In a big way. The PT was an embarrassment in all but the money it drew in.

My real question is what are these next three films going to focus on? An older Luke Skywalker? A completely new cast? Will C-3PO and R2-D2 be part of it? It seems to me that whatever they do, it's got to allow for future installments as well. Disney wont be happy with only three new Star Wars films.

According to the articles online its saying Indy falls to Disney but no plans have been elaborated as of yet, if they do continue i want to make sure that Spielberg directs otherwise its pointless

FINALLY! Very smart move! I applaud George Lucas. Star Wars will always be his baby, and his design, and his universe - but even he now realizes he needed to just hand over the reigns to someone willing to take it further!

I love George's work on Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and backed him up 90% of the time from the beginning through all the hate over the years for some decisions. But I am so freaking pumped right now that episodes 7-9 and maybe even MORE are confirmed by Disney and Lucas himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of this is why I am so excited. I can't wait for details to start coming out. Unless they say M. Night Shamalyan will Direct.

On the plus side, new blood to take a crack at the saga and reinvigorate it.

On the dark side, if you thought Star Wars oversaturation was bad under Lucas you ain't seen nothing yet.
