what exactly is Dark Delicacies? are they part of a studio or are they just regular people? so if they're the latter, how do they get the copies of the film? do they just order them in bulk?

You're probably right about amaray, not sure why I was envisioning three separate cases/covers. Customs are for overseas customers. DD are in Burbank specifically. Being seven hours on one BD, it will have to be standard definition, but will still look very good upscaled, like their Never Sleep Again doc. I'm disappointed it won't be 1080p, but reconciled to it.

I went ahead and ordered, too. Seems really cool to not get.
So, it's been said - Account isn't charged until right before the signing event - They'll mail you the actual signed copy? (Because I can't go to California) These questions have probably been covered, but because of my connection at the moment, it's very slow, so sorry for being repetitive. |

Have 1428 Films specifically addressed why they didn't choose to go the 1080p route, or has the '7 hours on one BD cannot possibly be 1080p' statement/question not been asked of them? I'm a little irked that they to this point are misrepresenting their product by referring to it as a Blu-ray, with the assumption that it is full 1080p HD. I'm not a tech expert, but wouldn't that be basically impossible under the circumstances? I mean, if they had said up front that yes, this will be in standard definition due to cost concerns, but we are putting the documentary in SD on a BD for those who have BD players and would prefer not to switch discs, that would be different, but to my knowledge they haven't done this.

I guess they would know then, I've only been following their signings for a year or so. Does anyone know which previous signing this refers to? Considering the dimensions of a BD case, those will have to be some tiny signatures!

Will they be signing the actual paper front artwork slip that slips underneath the plastic of the case, or will they just be signing the plastic outer sleeve/case itself? Just curious because there is good and bad either way. I imagine they would just be signing the plastic case itself so you could actually slip the front/rear artwork cover out from underneath the plastic and it would be clean with no signatures, leaving all the signatures on the actual case itself. That would seem the easiest thing to do instead of carefully taking out the art sleeve and signing them all without crumpling up the slip and then trying to slip it back under the plastic again after it's all signed.
The bad thing about that is if the case breaks, well, that's where the signatures are, as opposed to being on the actual slip art, which can be transplanted to another plastic case if it ever breaks. Does this question make sense how I'm trying to explain it? Does anyone know? NoirFan, how are your other signed items - are the signatures underneath the plastic on the art itself or is it directly on the plastic front of the case? |

They're all on the front cover art itself. They could theoretically fit 12 on the front, 12 on the back, and perhaps, depending on the total, more on the disc and/or a chapter insert or booklet, if there is one.
Edit: Seriously? I only have one minute to edit a post? Last edited by NoirFan; 06-30-2013 at 03:55 AM. |

I'd hate to see art on the disc itself I think. I've read many things over the years that ink from markers on the top disc surface is bad for discs because it can seep into the disc and cause harm over time. Perhaps that's only for burnable DVD-R/CD-R discs? But then there's the pressure applied to the disc. That would make me a tad nervous. Though I I guess it would look kinda cool to see a signature right on the disc itself. Last edited by mar3o; 06-30-2013 at 04:03 AM. |

I'm pretty sure they all just signed the poster that time. But here's who was there signing: Daniel Farrands (Co-director/producer) Andrew Kasch (co-director/editor) Thommy Hutson (writer/producer) Heather Langenkamp (narrator/executive producer) Buz Wallick (director of photography) Sean Schafer Hennessy (composer) Michael Granberry (main titles designer) Benni Pierce (editor) Lito Velasco (co-producer) Annette Slomka (line producer/assistant editor) Justin Cruise (sound design) Kim Williams (post production supervisor) Mike Mendez (assistant editor) Don Crandall (key grip) Jenna Busch (makeup artist) Elm Street films cast and crew: Tuesday Knight, Kelly Jo Minter, Ira Heiden, Zack Ward, Ken Sagoes, CJ Strawn, Christopher Young, Jacques Haitkin, John Skipp, Mark Irwin, Mark Shostrom, David J. Schow, Roy Wagner, J. Peter Robinson, Erika Anderson, Renny Harlin, Jennifer Rubin, Tobe Sexton, Kim Myers, Miko Hughes, and Leslie Hoffman. Quite certain Monica Keena was there too. So I don't know if that will bug people but looks like 10 autographs could just be production people from the actual doc. So not all 25-30 will be TRUE Friday the 13th alum. |

![]() Here's a video of the event. Check out 1:40 mark at how awesome that poster looked all signed in the eye popping SILVER sharpie!!! They guy keeps mentioning they did it in TWO buildings??? I see the list I found did not include JoAnne Willette and the crazy awesome Brooke Theiss. I love Brooke. Anyone else attend the FEAR FEST 2 convention in Texas??? They did a huge Elm Street reunion and I literally met almost all the main players there. I think besides the HUGE NAMES, like Depp, Arquette or Fishburne, I have met every other major star of the first five films. Anyone else? Last edited by Britbuffguy; 06-30-2013 at 06:05 AM. |
