I realized that much; what I only just realized is that Mr. Nice Guy was a New Line release, and New Line is a WarnerMedia company. I guess I kind of lumped all the '90s/'00s recut US releases with Jackie dubbing himself together/assumed they and New Line were all part of the whole Miramax/Dimension/Weinstein sphere.

So that probably means no US cut if they do release Supercop. I'd still love to see them release the HK cut, though.

Supercop US rights are with Miramax who has only offered the US version with the Jackie Chan dub. Upside: Miramax is true HD with a proper 5.1 mix available. Downside: It is edited and only available through Miramax.

Yeah, I went ahead and found an eBay dealer who had Rumble in the Bronx and Jackie Chan's First Strike as Like New for a reasonable price. Since the quality on both current releases is pretty good per the site here, I am content.

SDH-only is one thing, but let’s hope Warner don’t have particular ideas for an Archive Collection edition (unless it’s licensing one of those behind-the-scenes specials).

Seriously, we could’ve actually ended up with that if Celestial had rights circa 2004.

That is seriously one of the coolest things ever, me being both a Chan fan and Streets Of Rage/Bare Knuckle series fan. Brilliant job of editing. That needs to be an extra on a deluxe Blu-ray release of RUMBLE.

I just got First Strike in the mail. Haven’t seen this since maybe around the time it first released as a kid & remember very little about it. Looking forward to watching it really soon.

I'm still holding out hope for a Warner Archive release with both cuts before I upgrade, been mighty tempting to buy the current Blu-Rays as a stop gap though.

It's funny how the UK used artwork for 'Rumble' and 'Strike' that was closer to the Hong Kong ones instead of using those featured for US releases (which were inferior, in my opinion).

Thunderbolt 1995 in a high-quality full Japanese version of the film, what came out on Blu Ray from the Spaniards is just horror made from DVD

Who am I and First strike is those 2 I'm hoping for the most. Seeing we are getting a lot of new 2k/4k scans of his older movies, even 4K UHD and seeing there are better HD sources out there I hope we will get them sooner than later. Probably rights issues...
