I would've thought this was a pretty common point of view, and even the people who wouldn't put it number one would probably still have it in their top five.

Heat and Collateral are both excellent, and the only two Michael Mann films worth watching. Thief is dull. Manhunter is laughable. Last of the Mohicans is overrated. Miami Vice - Gong Li's hideous acting singlehandedly destroys it. Public Enemies - everybody mumbles. The Keep - ha ha ha ha ha ha! There are others, but I'm boring myself with this post.

Rooney Mara should have won Best Actress over Meryl Streep (Girl With the Dragon Tattoo v. Iron Maiden) at the 2012 Oscars. Her performance was inspired by Noomi Rapace's original Lizbeth Salander, but she still made the role her own and gave a powerful and intimidating yet fragile character feel authentic. Streep sleepwalked through her role as Margaret Thatcher in a boring film, not to mention her 37 other Oscars sitting on her shelf.
