Basically you'll get your order shipped before orders placed on and during the BF sale. You'll get your order shipped directly after the subscribers and you'll be able to add-on other sale items to your order before it ships. It's pretty convenient either way ya' slice it.

Huh? Will this be on sale on Black Friday? I guess if it's not a substantial discount it's not a big deal...

No, it will not. It will be the same price it is now.

That's what I don't understand, because the email that announced the BF sale says the following:

Quote:
It's just four short weeks until our colossal Black Friday 2020 Sale (November 27-30), featuring 50% off SRP on nearly every single title in our catalogue, two secret limited edition VS releases, two new VSA releases, four catalogue slipcovers, three new partner label titles, THE BEASTMASTER, FADE TO BLACK, FORGOTTEN GIALLI: Vol2 and so much more! This will be your first in a series of weekly email updates leading up to the big event!
It certainly seems to mention Breastmaster in the context of being part of the "big event", or am I being dumb? Or are they just saying that this "big event" is timed alongside all those new releases in general? This is literally the first time I've ordered from VS so I don't know how this usually works.

They always release a slate of new titles during the sale, but they’re not at reduced prices since they are brand new releases. They’re just listing what that slate is gonna be this year. The actual sale prices are only for older releases.

I’ve dropped hundreds in the last few VS sales (and will be doing so again this time), so this ain’t my first rodeo.

Yes they always release big titles at the same time as the Black Friday sale, to encourage large orders (i.e. get this new exciting stuff and a ton of old stuff at 50% off at the same time).

But none of the new release stuff like Beastmaster will be discounted.

I never saw 3, but Beastmaster 2 was a big guilty pleasure of mine as a teenager. It's SO silly, but somehow it feels uncynical. Also, the score might be even better than that of the first one.

Part 3 comes back to the Alternate World, and Marc Singer/Dar looks impressive as always. Both Part 2 and Part 3 are guilty pleasures of mine.

Seems deceptively worded, to trick us newbies to VS. Oh well, I still think this movie has it’s own cool vibe.

Don't worry about it - it's a US thing. Just like you guys say 23 September instead of September 23rd

Beastmaster 3: The Eye Of Braxus was a TV movie with Marc Singer and Sandra Hess.

Beastmaster 2: Through The Portal Of Time starring Marc Singer and Kari Wuhrer was great because I am a sucker for time travel stories.

Not time travel. Interdimensional travel. The title was misleading.

That would make it more like Sliders, which is fitting as Kari Wuhrer was a Slider.
Still, It was fun seeing Dar's fish-out-of-water reactions to a more advanced modern world than his, just like Ichabod Crane on Sleepy Hollow and time travel movies like Back To The Future where Marty McFly experiences culture shock.

Indeed, unashamedly this is one of my greatest wants
4K would be amazing, but I'll take it on any 5" disc at this point!

Me too. I tried to contact the producers of both the sequels on FB.
