I'm no fan of Neeson but like the way he's sticking to his existing characters as did Nielson.

Liam Neeson is not a bad choice to play Drebin Jr.

But if the casting was along the same lines as what made ZAZ put Leslie Nielsen in Airplane! and then Police Squad in the first place, I struggle to think of who would be the equivalent if they were making it for the first time today.

Somebody like Kyle Chandler maybe has the right kind of stature.

Before he became 007, Daniel Craig would have been a great choice. Probably why Johnson made him Benoit.

You are far from the truth. De Niro, Hopkins, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, even Kyle MacLachlan. Neeson is far from their class.

No doubt Liam is right for the part but it's just awkward because I am used to seeing him in serious action movies. I liked the trailer. Will definitely see it. It will just take some getting used to with Liam. I liked some of the jokes in the trailer like the take a chair and mans laughter bits.

Ironically enough that's probably how people felt about Leslie Nielson whenever Airplane came out cause he too was solely in drama roles like The Poseidon Adventure and Forbidden Planet.
