Honestly, the progression doesn't really slow down until you get to around 330. You'll be dependent upon running the raid on HM and the court of Oryx for the artifacts (using tier 3 runes) to acquire LL335 gear.....assuming you don't touch Iron Banner/Trials.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I've been on a 10 month hiatus myself and plan on buying Rise of Iron. I've been hearing that quite a bit has changed since I last played and I was starting to become afraid that it'd be an uphill battle trying to level up. But reading what you just stated helped ease my worries. Now I'm really looking forward to getting back into this.

True. But also using a lot of 3 of Coins helps too. I got all my weapons and armor up to 335 through 3 of Coins exclusively and just had to use Court of Oryx for the Artifacts and Iron Banner for 335 Ghosts to infuse with.

IF you have a lot of 3 of Coins. But yes, that helps.

K, that's basically what I was getting at. I'd say that's pretty close to max light level. It makes me think of the days when I hadn't run Crota yet and I was stuck at 31 lol.

The difference is it doesn't matter now. Back then being a 29 instead of 30 or a 31 instead of a 32 made a huge difference in the damage you could inflict or take. Now, it doesn't matter because you're already higher than any enemies you face so you can kill anything that runs in front of you. Half the time I run around with new weapons or a new piece of armor I haven't leveled up yet and I'm like 325.

I can only think of two instances where being 335 makes a difference and that's in the raid. At 335 with a 335 1k yard stare you can one shot the Knights at the totems and at Oryx. Without being 335 they take two shots to kill.

Being 335 now is just for bragging rights more than anything.

The drug I just can't quit, but lack of consistency kills my crucible game.

I actually forgot about that damage difference between 31 and 32. Glad that isn't a factor anymore (outside of what you said, of course). I also have the 1000 Yard Stare somewhere. Got it before I took my break, and I don't think I ever upgraded it. Evidently I took the name a little too literally and didn't realize I was actually supposed to fire the darned thing.

If it's the vendor roll from when TTK was new, then it's a beast. It should have triple tap and firefly if it is.

I have managed 335 with only 1 hard oryx raid that i did for the trophy. Iron banner and exotic engrams were enough. I don't play much any more though, mostly IB, I plan on playing the new DLC though.

Yes your best bet for an artifact that high is either a raid or Court of Oryx

You'll get a guaranteed 335 artifact for doing Warpriest challenge mode. If you have a cp it should take 10-15 minutes.

Hey Benny. Bro, the Court of Oryx boss is Balwur this week. If you have an antiquated rune, she takes about 10-15 seconds to kill and you should receive a 335 artifact for it.
With my Golden Gun and Celestial Nighthawk, Balwur is a one-shot kill. (Well, almost every boss is nowadays with Golden Gun after they made it the most OP weapon in the game)
