Despite indicating the running time as 45 minutes, in reality it's only 32.

Touted as an educational tool for children, there is little in terms of a learning experience. And to be honest, its overall boring with no real plot. But for the 3D enthusiast, a nice addition to one's collection. Excellent 3D with nice depth and beautiful color saturation. DTS master audio takes advantage of all five channels though voice level could be louder (it's equally balanced on all five speakers).

So recommended for the 3D collector if can find it cheap. All region with English audio.
I think you need to take German lessons! Wunderbar!

, yes Brave was very good, probably a 5th watch for us. I thought I remembered it being darker but was pleasantly surprised with the Active setup.
Some really laugh scenes which lifts the spirits. Very nice 3D.

Watched:

From the very first minute, when the trilobite turned toward the camera and nearly took out my eye with its antennae, I knew this was going to be a whole lotta fun. Terrific 3D effects throughout. Watching in 2D is unthinkable.

One of the very best Bronze Age 3-D films. Its 3-D strength blows that of Avatar 1 & 2 away.

Thanks for the reminder. Sadly this one came out before 3D made it to my area, so I have seen it multiple times but only in 2D.

Is the best of the Bronze Age 3D found in the few flicks that came out before Avatar + Titanic set the standard?

Not really but there was definitely a trend in Hollywood to make 3D weaker and weaker until it got to the point where you'd be taking your glasses off to see if the film you were watching was really in 3D or not. And we also got more and more conversions of course, which often weren't that impressive.

Hi j

Blueregion

Journey was my first venture into home theater 3D and I was just floored by it. Could not believe the depth and pop outs.

OH. did I mention this was an anaglyph DVD version on a regular HD monitor? Even with it's bad ghosting it was from that moment on that I knew I was licked!.

finally sat down and watched The Monkey King 3. I wanted to wait to get 1 & 2 first but I can't justify the price right now so I plunged in into this universe of monkey, pig, human, fish, gods & total craziness. 3D is excellent as per usual with Chinese movie. They really know how to produce them correctly. the story is over the top but what the heck, eh ! gotta have some fun and let loose sometimes.

highly recommended.

The first two are worth whatever price you pay.

My last two viewings were Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Nightmare Castle, both very good in their own way.

Hello,
If I may ask you to elaborate little more please, both 3D good for pop-outs or strong 3D you mean?
And I can't see Nightmare castle 3D here in Canada and also anywhere. Any suggestion from where to buy both?

There are lotsa Monkey King movies out there, so be careful which ones you search for. The 3 directed by Soi Cheang (Pou-Soi Cheang) are the ones folks are talking about here.

All are English subtitled, region A Taiwan releases, have great 3D and are bonkers. Don’t expect traditional Hollywood storytelling; just go with the flow. Might be difficult or excessively expensive to find all 3, but they’re worth it imho.

These are just the first three I saw to provide disc info. You’ll have to do your own searching to find what works best for you.

As I've lost the thanks button... it must be here somewhere... I'm here to talk about Asterix Domain of the Gods 3D blu-ray, now the brazilian portuguese dubbing version.

When the movie started I almost thought I was hearing everything but portuguese, the dubber was mumbling so hard that it was almost imperceptible... had to turn subtitles on. Still watching it portuguese audio with portuguese subtitles noticed that the audio wasn't as good as the french original. There were spoken lines that couldn't be heard. The subtitle showed up but no sound besides background sound. I have my player to use the stereo speakers of my tv and the neo 6 is off too so I think the surround speakers sound would have been present in the stereo speakers of my tv, so I'm wondering if there weren't recorded the speach lines or if the sound editing didn't take in consideration the stereo sound equipments. It's the first time I have a disc that does this.

Still good fun movie and afterwards the portuguese dubbing got better in my ear even though I still had to watch it with subtitles. I was thinking that after watching my entire life brazilian telenovelas and having dated a brazilian woman had me fluent with their speech, how wrong was I!

yesasia for 1 & 2, 3rd can be had for much cheaper at dddhouse. I'd suggest bundling a bunch more of 3D stuff while you're at it to save on shipping.
