As I said: I love mp! But because it's a "steal," as you say, just don't expect it to last in the long run....I agree that we should just enjoy it while it lasts.

As a consumer, I'd rather live in the moment of enjoying MoviePass rather than worried about it going under. As of today, it works, and that's what I care about personally.

It's out of your control anyway

That's why I didn't sign up for the annual plan. I don't have to fret over it possibly going under

I wonder who has been using it once a day for 30 days on here? November only got like 3 uses out of me. Need to start planning on seeing Star Wars in every theater within a 15 mile radius...only if it turns out to be really good.

I used it once a day when I got the card and I had a huge backlog of movies

I have since run out of movies to see

I saw it. I don't regret it....but I'd have never seen it if it weren't for MoviePass.

Cinemark just rolled out their own movie buffet subscription. $8.99! Lets see you top that, Moviepass.

[Show spoiler]The catch is that it's only one movie per month

I wasn't sure if we could see movies more than once with it. Nice. I do want to see JL again.

It's showing 5 of my 7 MoviePass trips to see JL in my viewing history now.

Moviepass was declined AGAIN at Regal in Oaks, PA (at both the kiosk and the box office)...but worked fine at the Regal in King of Prussia, as well as the local art house theater in Phoenixville. I have to conclude that the Regal Oaks is storing Moviepass card numbers and blocking them. Which I have to think is semi-legal at best. Now I just have to figure out what to do about it. Should I notify Mastercard that Regal is refusing to honor their cards?

It's probably more likely that Moviepass just does not have the correct pricing info for that theater rather than a conspiracy at one location of a theater chain that widely accepts the program

Hell I even went to a Regal last weekend to see The Disaster Artist and they asked us to fill out a survey afterwards, which included a series of questions like "Have you heard of Moviepass?" and "Did you use Moviepass to see this movie?" and then asking from a list of 20 movies which we had gone to see in theaters

Get a hold of customer support. They just have the prices wrong

Regal corporate's stance on MoviePass is neutral; they are not going to block it

In the past when I've had insufficient funds loaded on my card (Theater prices raised, etc), it was never declined, it said that the card only covered $X, and I still needed to pay them $Y (the remaining amount). Maybe it's just differences in the way different chains process credit/debit cards though.

Depends on the point-of-sale system. Some of them will outright reject the transaction if there are insufficient funds, some will charge what they can

The only time I've experienced POS' letting you pay the difference is when you use a giftcard with insufficient balance to pay the entire thing.

For now, it's redundant but I'll probably sign up for that once Moviepass runs out of money. 1 ticket + 20% off concessions for the month would easily pay the $8.99 fee.

If some of you are getting declined for insufficient funds, then my theory of them loading at least 14 or 15 dollars on the card may be completely wrong.

Their rewards system is a joke imho with their limits. Reminds me of Regal's old Crown Club.
