You know everything I've read about the clips screened from AotC and RotS said that they were much better than TPM as far as 3D goes. It's a real disappointment for me, considering I never saw AotC or any of the original trilogy in theaters, hopefully they'll at least come out before VII.

Yes it was. I was there. There doesn't need to be any eye-popping "reach out and grab you" moments at all. That's a common misconception and not what 3D is about. It's about creating a sense of depth and space. And Ep. 1 3D certainly did that, as did Toy Story 3, Meet the Robinson's, and all the 3D releases I've seen. And it wasn't a "cash-grab", that view is just a cynical view. So, whatever.

That would be a dream come true! And TPM faithfully restored to its original glory!!!!

Great. Now Bluyoda has fallen to the darkside where non-fans want the films restored away from Lucas's Vision.

By that, I meant the DNR. I just want a filmic presentation of TPM.

You do know that it probably has more to do with Lucasfilm wanting to focus only on Episode VII, while also realizing most 3D re-releases aren't fairing that well. Also, if Lucasfilm kept going with them, it might create bad blood with Disney since 4-6 are still owned by Fox. Lucasfilm made the right decision. This "F u!" Disney crap needs to end. They haven't destroyed Pixar or Marvel, and they won't destroy Lucasfilm. Glad we can put that into perspective.

How do you explain the re-releases of 'Finding Nemo' and 'Beauty and the Beast' under performing as well? Because those are considered classics. 3D re-releases just aren't selling that well. Disney realized that and cancelled their planned re-release of 'The Little Mermaid 3D', and Lucasfilm probably saw this and did the same thing. Maybe if Disney and Fox strike a deal, we'll see the re-releases down the line, but for now, this was probably the better move.

I couldn't give a toss about the 3D in Star Wars, but I was enjoying the fact that I could take my kid to all the Star Wars films in theatres.

I wasn't around in '77-'83, so in '97 when a young me got to see Star Wars in theatres and all I had to put up with was four minutes of weird footage and some additional robots walking around, I was ecstatic!

When I told my son before that we wouldn't see Star Wars this year (we were only talking about it yesterday) he said; "that sucks!" Hopefully it does eventually come out. I told him Star Wars comes and goes, so he just has to wait. And the 3D in TPM looked horrible to be, so here's hoping for a 4K or IMAX version (or at least a 2D option this time).

Personally, I'd just love it if they just rereleased the films in theaters as they are. I like 3D well enough, just not 3D revisionism. Give me SW, TESB, & ROTJ in theaters in traditional 2D, and I'll be overjoyed.

At a minimum ... they will release EP 2 and 3 ... they already spent millions to convert them it makes NO sense to scrap em and not at least make some of the money back ... EP I did look bad in 3D but EP II looks FANTASTIC ... probably one of the best conversions I've ever seen ... really hope to see this soon but I'm more excited about the 3D blurays lol

I'm glad someone said this. I know there are a lot of people who love 3D out there (and, alternatively, a lot of people who hate it) but it's true that some fans are blinded so much by their passion for it that they can't see the numbers. Less and less people are going to see films, but especially re-releases, in 3D; whether that's because of the economy or anything else is a matter for speculation, but the numbers don't lie.

And let's put this into perspective: I'm not a 3D basher and I hope that 2D and 3D cinema can reach a stage where they co-exist together and no dominance is placed on one, so please don't try and accuse me of simply using this as an excuse to vent my anger at 3D or something.

Well, I wouldn't know about those two. I unfortunately missed out on Finding Nemo 3D, and Beauty and the Beast is girly (aka more for girls) so I couldn't "give a toss" about that.

Every Disney-only release has singing in it. It's only since they bought Pixar and have released them under that banner that songs and music has been taken out.

And I don't agree that Beauty and the Beast is a female film - apart from The Lion King, it's my favourite Disney film (and one of the darkest in terms of themes).

A+ Disney Classic! Beauty and the Beast is an amazing movie, period. It's one my top movies, and I'm a guy. But then, I'm also quite comfortable in my love of Sense & Sensibility (1995) & Pride and Prejudice (2005). A great movie is a great movie.

But yet it's on your wishlist?
As well as several movies in your collection that boast: "Female main protagonist, lost of sining".
Please pick a side of the fence and stay on it.

Only because its out of print and I want it in my collection to help complete the Diamond Edition line.

And why would anyone want to peep at my wishlist?

It's part of your collection, which you have listed under your name...just like me, just like everyone that opts to show their collection to the public.
