Not right now but i will be soon. Planning to get a large popcorn at the movies and then a sundae at Costco so I should be good for today. If the deal was available, I might go for it.

That's a very sound strategy. You should be able to be happy with what you have, not regret what you don't have. That's what I do.

Now I'm thinking about how important it is to find a balance between work and leisure. It often happens that we get caught up in our daily routine and forget to take time for ourselves. I'm also thinking about how good it would be to do something new, maybe start my own business or invest in self-education.

Had my quarterly routine dental cleaning yesterday. God, I hate these. They poke and prod and scrape up in the gum areas, which are super sensitive. Then there's the bill

They claim I'm supposed to floss daily, which I find to be overkill. Does anyone actually take the time to do this every single day?

I floss every night before bed. I never went to the dentist quarterly though. At most it was twice a year.

I think they're taking me for all I've got My teeth are in the best condition they've ever been, though. This year I've had 8 appointments since March, when I initially went in for a toothache. They've found a bunch of stuff wrong. I've two extractions (one of which took 3 hours!) a root canal and a LOT of cleaning. I hadn't been to a dentist prior to March for at least 6 years. Before that, it was like a decade or so. Yeah, I'm not a fan of dentists

Hey all, just checking back in to say I made it through Hurricane Milton. My power went out around Midnight yesterday morning as things deteriorated. Was getting about 2 inches of rain plus an hour and top wind gusts of around 90 mph around 2-5 am Thursday morning at the eye of the hurricane passed around 30 miles to the south of me. The rains finally let up around 7 am after flooding my garage, yards, and back porches. Stopped JUST short of coming into the main parts of my home. Another hour of downpour would have been ballgame. A large branch of an oak tree fell down, only brushing the side of my home, barely missing wrecking my bedroom. Most of my neighbors are a little lower in elevation and were flooded. Probably around 15 inches of rain, which is weirdly similar to hurricane Ian 2 years ago. Probably won't have power for at least a few more days, but got lucky overall.
