We have to separate consoles to be clear, the destiny codes redeemed in the past via bungie net. I mean you can always just ask GameStop to print out another DLC code but thats at their discretion still worth asking, worst they say is no.

That being said unless you have a LOT of credit at gamestop I would recommend investing in GCU at Best Buy. $30 for 2 years and you get 20% off all games plus they have the $10 certs when you pre order most major releases (though not the destiny collection this year)

Right, my son and I have separate consoles, that's also how we play together with one PS+ membership and one digital copy of Destiny. But my specific concern is if the Iron GHorn and Sparrow will be available to him in the same way, providing it is a PSN thing and not a Bungie code like you mentioned earlier. So I was thinking if I buy a 2nd copy and apply it to his sub account, that should guarantee him the Iron GHorn and Sparrow. But, I'm also thinking that might negate my copy of the game that has PS+ linked to it. If so, I don't know if he'll also lose the ability to play the game online since the 2nd copy of the game would be tied to his sub account which doesn't have PS+. I might be overthinking it, but it's not something I want to find out the hard way as then I'll have to buy another PS+ membership.

EDIT: BTW, I do have a BB GCU membership. I bought a bunch of games as gifts last Christmas, and adding the membership somehow actually saved me around $20 at time of purchase. But the only reason why I used GameStop this last round is they had the best trade-in value for my PS Vita, which is what I still have a leftover credit on. I otherwise rarely ever go there.

EDIT 2: This buff seems to be an "infection", and there's 5 of them. Basically, one guardian passes it to another. That's how it spreads.

Yeah I've seen some interesting theories floating around and one of them being that come reset on Tuesday the Tower will be on Quarantine and we won't be able to enter, requiring us to start the ROI content making our way to Felwinter's Peak. Lore-wise it's a cool theory and I could see that happening, but I also think it could be a sneaky way for Bunige to keep us from speed leveling once ROI drops.

Except GCU's point system to get the certs is a shell of what it used to be. They neutered the point to dollar ratio to much less than what it was previously. So realistically the only major benefit is the 20% off new games (which is nice it's it's a constant percent off for the life of a game as long as it's a new copy as opposed to Amazon which only does it for pre-orders and 14 days after release iirc) and the 2 day shipping they now offer for free.

More on topic, the buff could be part of an ARG.

Theres the odd $10 point bonus on some pre-orders. Best buy sucks for points now. They took points from zero 0% card purchases.

Having your own copy of the game should have zero effect on the ps+ online play share.

For example my friend owns COD and I don't, he did not have ps+ but I did, he and I were both able to play separate games online without issue. But ill be honest ive never tried same game owned by us both separately on two consoles, maybe try and borrow a disc copy of destiny from a friend or a local library if they carry games and uninstall the digital copy on his and test it out.

There's no speed leveling involved when you're a level 40....or at least that's how I look at it. We're already at the highest level possible. All we are gonna be doing is raising our light level. Just by playing the game, we'll get our hand on gear that has a higher LL. Right?

So how could they slow down our progression with this new infection?

I preordered the Collection. Haven't played for 22 months and can't wait to jump back in. Thanks for the help, my friend at work said the same thing. Said I can easily make up what I missed. He was looking at my character on Bungie.net and didn't recognize some of my year 1 stuff.

With GCU I always buy physical but I have to wait until 9/19. Digital could have played now except for ROI.

The character boost to 40 doesn't mention light level I don't think. I read somewhere that 280 is required to play new story missions so we should get at least that.

That's what I mean, speed leveling in terms of getting your light up as fast as possible.
