It's theoretically possible, but it depends on whether Khara will allow it to be used. But given that they had a whole new dub made for the series and have been very picky about the Rebuild dubs, I think it's a long shot at best.

No, it's not the same and it's much worse in my opinion. It's great that there are some iconic and recognizable tracks, but many are missing. It's a compilation of songs with vocals from Evangelion (but there are also many missing - for example the title one from Rebuild: Utada Hikaru: Beautiful World). I will probably take it, but I'm a bit disappointed. I once read that Japan is blocking the release of these soundtracks outside its country and now we are probably witnessing it. They allowed something like that, because they probably blocked a complete version. I am glad that you managed to get the one from Japan a few years ago.

Oh, so "Finally" was a wholly different compilation that was released in Japan only a few months ago, and Milan just grabbed the license for that? Well, that's a bit of a letdown.

EDIT: At least it'll have Komm Susser Todd...unless this version is different from the movie's.

It's been a while since GKIDS announced the Evangelion license.

I hope we get new information about it like if the Rebuild Of Evangelion films will also be licensed by GKIDS/Shout! Factory, will the set include "Fly Me To The Moon" closings, and will it contain the ADV Films dub of the series or not.

We're unlikely to hear anything until January at the VERY earliest, more likely March or April. Unless they decide to throw us a bone around Christmas time, like a teaser that might indicate a couple things.

Would be interesting if they could choose one of the voice actors from whichever dub they go with to drop a little bit of a teaser. They probably won't spell it all out for us right off the bat, but a short audio or video clip that may or may not confirm that it has any involvement with the GKIDS release or may just be the actor wistfully reminiscing. A "maybe they're trolling, maybe they're in on it" sort of thing.

As Dynit CEO said, their contracts was signed only a few days before they announced it. It's very likely GKIDS (and Selecta...) had a similar situtation. You'll have to give it some time. UK fans have not heard anything about it either since its announcement in May.

What are the chances of D&R and EoE getting 4K UHD versions?
I bet it's possible but very unlikely, considering that Netflix still uses the same 2K 2015 restoration.

But who knows? King Records may release a 4K version of at least the Rebuild films (since they were recently broadcasted in 4K in Japanese TV), since Fafner: Heaven and Earth got a 4K release. But on the other hand, they released a 4K remastered Blu-ray of Halloween (1978) but they didn't release a UHD.

Literally zero as long as there's no such release in Japan. Also 1.11 and 2.22 would be upscale. 3.33 possibly as well. So who cares?

And from what we know, EOE has pretty much peaked. 4K wouldn't bring anything new.
