LOVE the new poster. Just Laurie and Michael. As it should be. No hip heartthrobs, comedic rappers or angst-ridden teen princesses plastered all over the place to pull in the younger demographic like H20 and Resurrection. This one is for the fans!

And the tagline alone kicks H20's butt. Face Your Fate. Another nice subtle nod to the first film. No lame, uninspired, generic marketing like H20's "This Summer, Terror Won't Be Taking A Vacation." Ugh. I should have taken that as a precursor to how bad the movie was going to be.

We're in much more capable hands with Green, McBride and Carpenter giving the fans the kind of reunion film we should have gotten twenty years ago. It's more like an "event" film. Can't wait!

If Halloween 2018 "is as good as H20", Green and company will have failed miserably! But I'm pretty confident they're fully aware of all the mistakes made by H20 and how it severly lacked in delivering a proper, fan-driven reunion movie for Michael and Laurie.

Yup. H20 was passable at best. It was more Scream than Halloween. Halloween 5 still retains as the best sequel. Although, I'm almost positive that this movie will be the new best sequel in the franchise.

obviously, halloween came before friday the 13th pt 2. but considering he got shot on eyes twice and blown up yet still survived and then magically couldn't die but just killed people with superhuman fantasy strength in parts four, five and six... he basically became low rent jason.

which is odd. I can't think of another time where you had a character of a series was ripped off, but then the original ripped off the ripoff.

that's why the first halloween is so scary. he's a real guy. he is going to come after you and you don't know how he got away at the end. and he's still out there.

that's someone no one has mentioned. the injuries he sustains in halloween, let alone halloween II, should have killed him. but to have all of those happen the same night and still not die and he comes back for 4? thank god we have season of the witch. otherwise, you would have a series that while it does have a way better first movie, is just basically a less entertaining version of friday the 13th.

which is another weird irony. because there really was no attempt at a crafting a story in the friday the 13th series. it was basically mad libs with emphasis on fx kills. so while the best friday never comes close to being as great as halloween, the worst of the first 8 is never as bad as zombieween.
