Just ordered an inexpensive used copy of "Dam999", a 2011 disaster film based on the 1975 Banqiao dam catastrophe which claimed a quarter of a million lives. This India and UAE coproduction received mostly negative reviews but good writeups regarding the 3D effect. Region B with English audio

The 3D is practically non-existent in Dam999. Not sure who would give it a good review. You'd do just as well autoconverting it yourself.

Yeah, reading more reviews. Some do say it's "good" - and nothing more - while a lot more are scathing it almost as much as the movie itself (some admitted watching it on anaglyph dvd). Many do say it has depth but not used properly to enhance the small amount of what seems to be underwhelming special effects.

So won't anticipate much but it's still an actual 3D release and paid very little for it. Will let you know.

watched Rise of The Legend. marvelous 3D. feels like I've already watched this movie in the past but certainly not in 3D.

a must get for any 3D enthusiast.

Just watched The Conversation, flat region B, from the UK. While I’m in region B rewatching (today) Valerian, one of my absolute favorites! Or for you region B folks, favourites.

Edit: watched, great. Fabulous 3D and Atmos track, Alex( the spaceship) speaks entirely in the overheads. Pop outs…many.

Latest 3D-movie I bought is Star Trek Beyond. I have Stark Trek Into Darkness on 3D too.
I haven't got it yet, but I have heard it has good 3D.

Just watch HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (AIPOP)......Super good time with the conversion. I REALLY enjoyed. A great deal of work is evident.

Happy Holi3Days!

Looks like for this month I get to buy not 1 but 2 3Ds The extra was due to the removal of "The Bellboy and the Playgirls" from my list.

With this, I pulled the trigger on 2 blind buys:

- Dune Part 1
- The Warlords

That completes this year for me. Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!
