At Chili's and my server is quite attractive. Lebanese. I'm sure if I were her age, I'd ask her status but I could be old enough to be her daddy (no sugar) so I shall say nothing

Unhappy

Todd Bridges’ mother Betty Bridges died in late August, a little less than a month after turning 83.

Todd Bridges played Willis Jackson on one of my absolute personal favorite TV shows ever called Diff’rent Strokes. The Millennials and beyond may not know of these people and this show.

Working 5-6 shifts a week for Home Stretch right now, expecting that to go back to 3- shifts a week in January so the moonlighting job will become much more vital again after December.

If you keep going @ it fifty years from now you'll be rich
Not quite to Elon Musk's level but that's alright.

It’s funny how things can change. For decades, I sought attention and recognition for my musical abilities and accomplishments. These days, I thrive on anonymity.

Isn't that funny. For most of my life, I have lived intimately with anonymity. Now it seems like every part of me is wanting to step in front of that spotlight/stage and let the world know. Be damned what they think. Of course in some respects, I've always done that. But never with my own personal writing/music. Plus, in the last 3 years, I have made 4 friends. Before that, I had only made 6 friends (I think that's right) in 48 years. And the space between those friends is alarming. My first one made in 1984, then my second one in 1990, and then my next 4 friends in 2000. After that it was another 21 years before this batch. That's if you're not counting high school friends. If my class notes said I was dead, I think people would be struck. The outpouring at services would be as long as mom's. Ain't life funny.

Do you have anything that I could hear?? If you do, I'd love to hear something. You can send me a response in a PM if you don't want it made public.

Spotted someone with a cool bomber-style Canada Goose jacket on my bus this morning. Never seen one like that before. I know these are expensive but I wasn't prepared for this level of sticker shock. Who pays that much for a jacket? I know certain people wear these as status symbols but those prices are beyond ridiculous. It's not like these are handcrafted by highly paid skilled artisans in, like, Canada. I bet if you rip one of these open you'll find the same cheap materials you find in any coat you find in a Burlington store. Unless you're a trust fund baby, you're a sucker for spending so much on these.

Going to use a coupon at Burger King and then head down the road to Costco to get a soda and sundae. But, would I prefer a couple doughnuts instead of the sundae? Hmmm

Perhaps it was a knock off. Wearing a $700+ jacket and taking public transportation in the city?

Amazon seems to only be giving me the option to return for a refund and not get a replacement. Maybe because it’s their busy season.

Possibly. I've seen schoolkids wearing them too and they don't even work

Probably depends on how much of the item they're willing to send out to replace stuff. I know busy season is a factor, we even have supervisors at work telling us not to buy stuff off the site lol.

The five least expensive Savile Row tailors start at $2,400 to $2,800 for a coat, depending on the exchange rate between the American Dollar and Great British Pound. In England, the five least expensive Savile Row tailors start at £2,000 for a coat.

I would imagine most people would be stunned at the amount of cold weather gear I own considering I lived in New Mexico for 37 years. I was pretty close to getting thermal underwear for my colder shifts but so far a long-sleeved shirt, jacket or hoodie and pants seems to be getting the job done. I think once it gets colder I'll start wearing a T-shirt under the other 2 layers and that should probably be enough.

So I got my lawyer to check for warrants and there are no arrest warrants. Sorry to disappoint you, Gimpy.

The collector in me wants to buy more clothes. Don’t have anything from Fjallraven. They got some good looking stuff.

Feel like I could be coming down with a cold. Besides the bit of biking I do at night and in the morning to get to the light rail and bus stops, I’m getting exposed to more germs by using public transportation.
