Lucas has brain washed fans so they can forget about the UOT trilogy forever that is why EP 7-9 is happening

I read the other day that the intention was for 4 trilogies that would in total make 12 movies. With the announcement of Episode 7-9 I would expect 10-12 to be announced at some stage. I'll try & find the link!

This is all I could find
[Show spoiler]tp://www.independent.co.uk/voices/iv-drip/star-wars-vii-story-to-be-an-original-8273296.html
. The article I read the other day went into greater detail, oh well!

Some info about the 'original' 12 film plan. Hard to say how much of it is getting the go ahead.

They should forget about all the previous entries and start making some fresh adventures set in the Star Wars universe with new characters etc

Just watched all three OT with my kids in one day.
I love rainy half-term holidays.
Incidentally OT means ONLY Trilogy.

Ok guys, so I am a MASSIVE Disney fan and I always used to love Star Wars. When Disney bought Star Wars i remembered all anout it and want to watch the films again. I would get the complete saga but it is quite expensive so was thinking about getting the two trilogies seperatley. Is this a good idea?

If you just want the films then yes, it is a good idea but you'll miss out on 3 discs of special features if you buy the trilogies separately.

GAME have the complete set pre-owned for less than £45. They're supposed to have had the set new for £30 but no ones mentioned buying it for that price!

I quite liked the bonus features...especially all of the deleted scenes and stuff. I haven't even finished watching all of the bonus features.

I love the deleted scenes for the OT, there's some good stuff in there, but the documentaries are shit. And the prequel deleted scenes were an utter waste of time, being literally seconds of cast-offs or lengthy previz videos, with no sign of the stuff from the DVDs. Those scenes were mostly finished in HD, so why not put them in there too? No, that'd be too ****ing easy, wouldn't it?

And the 'turntable' or whatever it was that showed you all those props and whatnot was cool, especially with the additional video interviews, but clunky as HELL.

The problem is, although all the deleted scenes are never-before-seen footage they haven't included any of the previously released deleted scenes that you'll find on the DVD's. I wish they had included all the special features.

^^That's why I'm glad I have all 6 2-Disc editions of the movies on DVD AND the Empire of Dreams DVD(minus the set it came with), so I have ALL the special features. I also have the Executor VHS special edition box with featurettes not included on DVDs too. Never watched it though cos it's still sealed, heh.

Empire of Dreams should have been a shoe in for the Complete Saga release, as well as the great feature documentaries that came with I, II, and III

Can't believe they didn't put the Empire of Dreams documentary in the set.

Managed to download a copy of it from elsewhere on the net.

Keep your eyes on ebay, you can find one for around £30, if you're sharp.

It's not worth £50 of anyone's money.

Now the deals done, we can see why they changed the 1 a year plan for the 3D releases. The next 2 will be released back to back next year, then I can see IV and V in 2014 with VI released not long before Disney's epic Star Wars Episode VII 3D.

My guess is they might not bother with releasing the 3D films on their own and just do a 3D Collection around the launch of VII in 2015.
