And? It's Ryuhei Kitamura. Are we really defending that one?

Before that, G got his ass kicked by MG twice in two different movies in the same series. Ghidorah beat him too.

In fact, Godzilla has a bad solo record fighting MG overall.

I can not wait for this movie. Godzilla is awesome. Kong is awesome. No need to downgrade or downplay either character.
I agree with this. For someone to feel Kong hasn't beaten any tough opponents in the same league as Godzilla's opponents is weak sauce...fact is, Kong hasn't lost yet (in THIS new monsterverse of what, three movies total thus far?), he's beaten humans/weapons, multiple creatures at one time, one HUGE skullcrawler in a one on one, that by the way, he did using his WITS when fighting, not just brute strength or size, something many of Godzilla's foes lack. So yeah, that brings it at least closer to a level playing field IMO. We shall see soon enough!!! Can't wait

Well to be fair that how godzilla moves around is bit of a plothole atleast in the king of the monsters...

Godzilla travelled around the planet way too fast.

They actually explained in the film that Godzilla traveled via tunnels in the Hollow Earth.

Tamashii Nations Pop-Up Shop Will Have a GODZILLA VS. KONG Exhibit in NYC , there are props from the film

[Show spoiler]Wonder what those egg shaped props are, possibly incubators. Maybe Apex is trying to create titans.

[Show spoiler]Mechagodzilla's testicles?

For real though, that would be a interesting plot point
[Show spoiler]Apex is trying to make another Ghidorah and that's the reason Godzilla has been going around attacking cities with Apex outposts

Godzilla is amphibious. He can travel by water and land. Traveling by water means he can travel anywhere on the planet. Kong can't do that, he's has to rely on humans to carry him abroad. King Kong can't fly or travel on the water like Godzilla and the monsters he has faced.Let's face it, Kong will be a Mary Sue type character.

You're not even using the Mary Sue characterization correctly.

I watched monster movies a long time, Godzilla has never lost to Monsters far more powerful than Kong. The time I watched Godzilla vs MechaG, Godzilla incinerated that rust bucket. Kong on the other hand, usually falls head over heels for the skinny blonde and then gets capped on the Empire State building. Kong's resume is weak. He's out of his league. Try that on Godzilla and he would incinerate all of New York.

Yes, I am. Studied the Rey character thoroughly, Kong is the same thing, he has no resume. Rey in the Force Awakens had no resume. However, Rey was able to hold her own and beat a Sith. That's the epitome of a Mary Sue or a Gary Stu.

Uh, yeah. He has. He has gotten his ass kicked by Battra, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Mecha King Ghidorah, Mechagodzila, and Biollante,

Even in the movies where he makes it out alive? He probably got his ass kicked in there too. G has never had a clean record of kicking ass throughout. And sometimes he needs help in winning.

... You really don't get it. Kong has numerous weaknesses. It's obvious.

Kong has BRUTE force...he's not some frail, flying bird type creature or a giant lizard or rotating turtle. Gorillas have insane strength and girth...now picture a several hundred foot tall version and extrapolate out the power of his blows (compared to bat type monsters with hardly any meat on their bones or a three headed chicken thing, giant flying pelicans, etc). Godzilla will win, you can relax lol...I'm just saying Kong will hold his own and to think he shouldn't even be in the same ring is silly.

Oh Jesus Christ. Can we stop the comparisons between old, non-canon Godzilla to this canon?

It doesn't matter what Toho, or Shin or Broderick Godzilla ever did. Does not matter. We are talking about Legendary Godzilla, who was in two movies. Fighting Kong, who was in one movie.

I've also seen all the Godzilla movies. And the Kong movies. And they're all great in their own respect. I love the ones that are good, and the ones that aren't.

This is the dumbest argument I've seen on this forum, and we all know that's a bold statement. Because you're also factually incorrect, as the smarter-than-me Mister Chaverria has pointed out.

So if you have any comment about the fighting record of Legendary Godzilla and Legendary Kong, please do so.

Any other Zilla and Kong is irrelevant to the conversation and off-topic

And don't get me started about the dumbest thing I've seen on this site today: calling Kong a Mary Sue character. You're one dumb reply from the ignore list

This. It's obvious that Kong should hold his own to a a degree. G will have his weakness and Kong has his. But both have advantages over the other too. And apparently somehow Kong has a goddamn axe. Which is ridiculous moreso but wtf. Let him have an axe. Hahaha.

I mean, maybe Prince was less rapey? Or less prone to be accused as rapey?
