With JLC going full-on Linda Hamilton, it looks like Halloween II: Judgment Day. This is gonna be EPIC!

Its all done in one several-minute-long camera shot and the kill is off-screen. You don’t know what you’re talking about lol

Yeah I respect people opinions and all, but this looks nothing like the Zombie movies.

Agreed. They left the trailer "white trash" chic element out of it.

Looks awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing it even more, after the 2nd trailer and international trailer.

But I hope some of the music is just temp. I want them to keep the stinger cue when the kids bump into him while trick-or-treating. Just like when Lonnie ran into him in H1 and the kid with boom box did in H2.

That's just nit picky though. This is my most anticipated movie of 2018 and it doesn't look like it's going to disappoint! Looks brutal and epic!

C'mon October 19th!!!!!!!!

Not a bad trailer but something feels off about it to me, as with the first trailer. I don't know if it's just lingering knowledge this is ignoring everything but the first or that it seems darker and more brutal than the series ever was before or what. It's hard to put my finger on. I do know I'm still a bit leery about Laurie Strode being turned into Sarah Connor.

But I am excited for this nonetheless. I'm glad to see a new Halloween movie, and one that wants to get back to basics and doesn't look like a piece of rancid garbage like Rob Zombie's movies, and the fact Curtis and (especially) Carpenter are back gives me hope this is a worthy new installment.

Yeah, they're trying, but Michael going door to door to kill people like an unstoppable killing machine is not exactly what he did in the original Halloween. That's the Zombie element that I find cheap.
But looks like that's what most fans want to see after all, they were smart

Yeah, I think the random kills are one of the things that make it feel a little off to me. But that could just be me being so used to the previous movies where his motives were very focused and random kills tended to happen only if people got in the way. Maybe within context of the actual movie these kills will work. But I always liked how at the beginning of Halloween II he goes into the house and steals a knife from the kitchen, the homeowners are right there, yet he leaves them be and just walks back out. (Which, of course, then makes the following kill at the house next door that Carpenter added in post-production seem strange.)

Not really feeling it. Jame Lee Curtis seems to be over the top trying to be tough but it just doesn't work. Gonna be half a movie were everyone thinks she is the crazy lady and nobody believes her. Will probably just catch it on digital cause it looks pretty bad.

The only thing that could potentially be annoying are the call backs to the other movies which are no longer related. We got the kids dressed in Silver Shamrock masks and Michael getting the knife from Mrs. Elrod making a ham sandwich.

Inspired-by is one thing, completely ripping off scenes from other movies and sticking them in a new movie is another. I've heard there are several more too.

Still, very happy with the trailer overall. A long tracking shot of Michael from his back and a kill off screen is exactly what I want. Excellent atmosphere as well.

I'm going to say that a surprise cameo by Sheriff Brackett (Charles Cyphers) gets the 'Kill' shot at the end at Michael to avenge the death of his daughter Annie.....

If I had any doubts whatsoever, they're surely gone now. I absolutely love the Halloween III costumes thrown in. Pretty cool to see some scenes similar to Halloween II. This is gonna be a great looking Halloween film.

Okay, I gotta admit that I totally marked out when the soundtrack started in with the bum-bumpbump. . .bum-bumpbump. . . bum-bumpbump tink-tink-tink-tink.

Horror movie remakes have a 90% chance of being weapons grade bullshit with a very, very, very slim chance of being The Blob or The Thing. And lets face it, everything in the Halloween franchise past III utterly shits the bed (and yes, I include H20 in that - the movie is barely tolerable at best).

But heaven help me, I'm actually kind of looking forward to this. My brain screams no, but my heart yearns for yes.

Trailer I watched was only 2 minutes. You have a link to the 90 minute trailer?

Still excited but those nods to past films are just ripp offs. Expectations adjusted accordingly. The trailer was good but it doesn't really resemble the mood of the original. It couldn't possibly...they have a movie to sell afterall. It can't be total old-school fan service and minimalistic as the original or it would flop at the box office.

I like all the atmospheric trick-or-treating/Halloween night vibe, but the whole Laurie Strode/Sarah Conner/I'm a gun-toting badass tone seems silly, flat, and derivative. I'll be seeing it in the theatre, of course, but I hope they don't go too far with the goofy survivalist thing.
