Unless there's some kind of in-store sale or coupons at a specific store, I usually find Amazon.com to have the cheapest prices. The pre-orders usually go up at $27.99 and then fluctuate up & down quite a bit sometimes.

Many U.S. stores don't tend to carry Criterion releases, though. Best Buy has a few in the stores, but I'm not sure of the prices 'cause I never buy my Criterion discs there. The stores in the U.S. that do carry new/sealed Criterion titles are the bigger book chains (i.e. Barnes & Noble; Borders), regional niche shops (i.e. Newbury Comics in the New England states), and other smaller locally-owned shops. I've never found any of these stores prices to be cheap, though, unless there's some kind of sale or promotion.

Broke down and picked up 8 1/2 and Amarcord. Now thinking about The Leopard and Senso. But I think I'm done.

I love the idea of a "limited-edition" poster being on backorder, which leads me to believe that they're only "limited" until more copies are printed based on demand.

I used the Amazon Store Card coupon ($10 off an order over $50 when you pay with your Amazon Store Card) and got the BBS set for $42.

Unfortunately, nothing has shipped yet - not even the titles I ordered on Tuesday morning. When I asked why, they said it was because I chose free shipping. It was odd - my order was "Shipping Soon" for 2 days and then it changed back to "Not Yet Shipped".

Before the Pierrot le fou poster came back on the Criterion website (out of stock) about 2+ years ago, I e-mailed John M asking if they would have anymore and I got to order one straight through their offices by e-mail, even though the "limited" stock ran out. Then a few months later, they show back up on the C's website along with Vivre sa vie.

Probably the only things that are truly limited are the artist signed prints that run $150+

Jon Mulvaney NEVER responds to my emails, I have faulty disc that needs to replaced and the guy never respods back.

I've emailed several times about the issue.

can somebody post (or PM me) the actual mail/postal address of Criterion, PLEASE!

(it's not on the back of ANY of the blu releases)

It's on their website... here.

Also, I always get responses from the Mulvaney e-mail address.
