Hi Cabanon,

Never picked up the Region B edition assuming it was just another autoconversion from Germany based upon the reviews from Amazon.

But now see it was post converted supervised on a shoe string budget by the director and not an autoconversion.

I expect it was autoconverted with some tweaks. I have the whole trilogy in 3D and it's not a hidden 3D treasure.

Because I like bad films, I did buy quite a few of Uwe Boll's back catalogue 3D titles, I haven't been impressed by any so far but this conversation is making me want to go back to watch the others.

Some of them are heavily cut though, a common problem with German autoconversions.

BTW does Dolph have the same issue with his voice in that as he does in Aquabro2?

I'd forgotten that this franchise had a second entry, and in 3D no less. Thanks for the reminder.

Well, this wasn't theatrically released in 3D for a reason.

It had a third entry too, that was also converted to 3D on the cheap just, like the first two.

if it's auto-converted, then it's a pretty good one.

had no clue, but that's a 13 years old film.

EDIT: while we're on the subject, does the Trilogy set of In the Name of the King the only way to see the 3rd film in 3D ?

No, I have a double pack of the first two and a standalone edition of the third.

Another review said it was like an amateur got hold of a 3D camera and decided to make a movie. Given the year it was made, that actually might be quite close to the truth. It’s made me quite curious. Wonder if any of you have seen it, or know anything more?
Hi Oboler,

Gather this the disc in question.

Hi Oboler

Remember poor reviews on that one. Besides River at Risk also have Weltnaturerbe USA - Grand Canyon Nationalpark. Great disc. From that fellow who posts reviews on Amazon Germany:

Assessment of the technical 3D quality alone with LG Bluray player and LG screen (1920:1080 = 1.78) with polfilter technology, diagonal = 140 cm
+ thicknesses:
+ Aspect ratio 1.78 screen filling
+ Stereoscopic photographed
+ Good graduation in the depth of the room
- Weaknesses: None

Watched F&F Hobbs and Shaw. Very good 3D, excellent Atmos track and a pretty good movie.

Hi Okie

Just put it on so not to go by memory.

There are certain segments where it's only a 2D picture protruding beyond the screen but other than that it's visually stunning to watch. Great Atmos soundtrack. It's very informative focusing primarily on the future and I would certainly recommend it.

Evaluation from that fellow in Germany:
LG screen (1920:1080 = 1.78) with polfilter technology, diagonal = 140 cm

+ strengths:
+ Aspect ratio 1.78 screen filling
+ Stereoscopic brilliantly filmed
+ Good graduation in large room depth
+ Falls 3D, then hard depth of field — this is 3D!

— Weaknesses:
— Countless 2D flashbacks, half an hour of 3D does not justify the price
— Intrusive noisy accompanying dudel makes understanding of the comment difficult
