They certainly have a good opportunity to allow that.

For example, D1 ends with a boom (literally) and you're injured. Once D2 starts, it'll give you the option to recreate your character's face because of the damage or keep it as is (in the sense that they were able to salvage the original appearance).

I would hope they can make it enough of a new game that you neither need nor want your old gear. Or else what's the point of making a whole new game?

I think I'm okay with this approach. This way, I don't feel pressured to build up an arsenal of things to go with me to Destiny 2 so I don't get left behind. It's cool to have a collection but this way I don't feel like I'm already behind when D2 rolls out.

I know it'll never happen, but i'd like to see a "hall of armor" or something carry over into the 2nd game.

in assassin's creed, whenever you gain a new weapon or armor, it's on display in a room in your house. I think that'd be awesome to see complete sets of raid gear or weapons you primarily used in the 1st game on display and have a history or something attached to it.

i'd go back and work on the book if there aren't a lot of crucible requirements for all 3 guardians. I think I've played less than 20 min on my Hunter and Titan total.

Nope. I think I can finally quit Destiny. Maybe after sequel news drops it can excite me again.

It's a bit odd that this "refresh" is just putting things back in the game that were taken out. They should have kept raids with their weapons and gear at the current cap since day 1.
