Today: Wonder Woman
Wonder-Woman-2017-127x180.jpg

The reviews I read suggest that the 3D is maybe a little underwhelming but I love this movie so I had to give it a go. It has mostly weak to weak medium 3D depth. It's one of those weak 3D movies that probably doesn't work if you have issues with your setup. But if you don't then it also has enough very good 3D moments to raise it above similar weak 3D movies. Similar to the 3D picture, the Atmos audio is not a showcase but it does the job with some nice surround sound moments and LFE.

Overall a decent package made better by the quality of the movie itself.

Today I had a quick look at Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and I was surprised at how good it looks. Just scanning through it I instantly came across some very nice moments.

How was the 3D in the sequence where she runs across No Man's Land?

If only that other ww1 fiction film, The King's Man, could have been in 3D.

Like the rest of the movie, not greatest depth and not much pops out of the screen. But it has some great 3D moments with the obvious one being the first bullet. I wonder if this was a deliberate choice because the mild 3D does make the good to great moments stand out a little more.

watched the Brazilian version of Ratchet & Clank the other night. like many said, the 3D is very mild. mostly subtle depth which is a shame because you can clearly tell some scenes would benefit greatly from pop out. also the movie is not that great, even if it's short at 1h30 long.

good to have but don't spend too much on it.

Deadpool & Wolverine has a very nice 3D. I hope it gets a physical 3D release in Japan.

It's been some time since I last watched Dune 3D.
303761_medium-3397586482.jpg

I still like the extra depth this 3D presentation provides even if it's not particularly inventive.

The (muxed) Atmos audio is still amazing as is the LFE. The audio for Dune 3D is almost as important is the visuals providing a more complete movie experience. If I hadn't already seen Dune 2 then I would be raving about how good this is. But everything great about Dune 3D's audio is levelled up in Dune 2. The Atmos and LFE audio for Dune 2 is almost essential because without it you are only getting half a movie.

With that being said, Dune is an awesome "cinematic" experience in 3D and so many scenes are better because of it. Dune 3D+Atmos & LFE audio makes you glad you have home theatre.

Some people wanted more action in Dune. But I think the build up is the point because when it comes, it hits hard

how is the 3D in this one? Was considering picking this up as it's on sale at amazon.ca right now for $16.59.

As far as the 3D goes, it's up there with Marvel's best.

I've never rated the 3D in this movie as good, but when you said "it's up there with Marvel's best", I gave it one more try. All I can say is that I'm not exactly sure why it looks so good now. But you are right, it is up there with the better MCU 3D titles.
