It's very beautiful, but I'm content with the Grindhouse disc.

Yes, you'd think it would be getting a good release. Hopefully elements exist for a HD master. A few of Friedkin's films have had DVD and Blu-ray releases (still haven't got the two French Connection films on Blu-ray).

Apparently, Rampage was released in US cinemas several years after it was filmed (on the film's IMDb company credits page, it says Miramax was the US theatrical distributor in 1992, and De Laurentis Entertainment Group (DEG) is listed as the film's production company).

Good alternative to what I suggested. A few years ago, when I regularly visited my local HMV, I remember seeing the UK DVD release of The House on 92nd Street on the shelf (there were a few Fox film noirs which had the same type of artwork). I didn't get the DVD release, but the artwork has stuck in my mind (like with Somewhere in the Night).

I do remember you saying before (very likely in this thread) something very logical about Sudden Fear (Arrow UK released Hangmen Also Die!, which Cohen Media released in the US).

Arrow finally have got in touch re: the Woody Allen box set, it was to tell me they couldn't help. (since been sorted)

Thought it fair to mention that they did reply though.

Not tracking related but I've noticed that delivery times for my last few orders have been quite absurd in the UK. I appreciate it's free but they're averaging a week from the Dispatch notification. I'm now waiting for sale order dispatched on the 6th. Seven days later the postman has come and still nothing. If I order from Network say, who also offer free shipping, I receive it within a day or two guaranteed.

Of course there's always the possibility that this one may be lost but like I said, a week from dispatch has been a regular occurrence.

I'll see what we can find out about this, but to my knowledge most shipments are sent via 2nd class, which can take up to a week, despite listing as 3-5 days.

Thanks. Royal Mail estimates it as 2-3 working days and in my experience, which involves a lot of packages it's very rare for it to take longer. For this to happen every time I suspect there's something else responsible.

I had my order today from Arrow, couple of boxes from the sale, I ordered from them on the 8th and 9th January, fastest I've had an order during a sale from them, usually it takes a few weeks or more for me. From what I recall their slower with sending out delivery during sales due to a lot of orders, I'm lucky mine came this week.

I'm hoping the news of a German (?) release of Kill Baby, Kill means it's ready and likely to be revealed among Arrow's announcements today.

Does anyone else hate these points circumventing microsite exclusives? Very annoying. I do think it's very savvy of them targeting the vinyl market. It's a very bad time for me for Pieces (peak time on a Friday, really?), but fortunately I don't intend to pick it up. I just worry in case they do something amazing for the likes of the impending Phantasm set or something similar to Shock & Gore, and I miss out. I hope they're keeping spares for those who are laying down £60 in advance for this, nothing more heartbreaking than having something so lavish arrive damaged.

A question for KevG: Will the UK House set include region-free copies of the first 2 films?

OK, so it's announcement day. This one is extra special for being Friday the 13th so I'm expecting today's announcements to be epic

KevG e-mailed me yesterday about a damaged item I'd reported twice, a month ago, and received no response. Kev seems like a class act, and I'm grateful for his help in sorting my particular problem out.
