Again usually no problem for me. But I rip all my discs to drive, so if there is a problem I can reformat the subs.

I recently watched Kubo and the two strings. I remember the 3D wasn't amazing when I watched it a few years ago, but I really liked it this time (putting aside that the movie itself is awesome). Even if it's not strong 3D and doesn't look as good as Coraline (shot in 3D vs converted), I think the framing of the shots help a lot with portraying depth throughout the movie, so the 3D conversion is appreciated. Also the DTS HD 5.1 audio had more bass and dynamism than any Marvel Atmos mix, so that's a plus. I put in the UHD just to sample a couple moments from the Atmos mix and I think I'll remux it soon and give it another watch.

watched the Brazilian version of Asterix et Obelix au service de sa Majeste last night. Boy was I surprised by the 3D. It is excellent ! pop out, depth at the right place, right time. even my youngest daugther who joined half way had fun. Movie is cheesy but the 3D makes it for it. of course, it's French humour and can be hard to understand/get the joke, but if you can, by all means. get this movie !

Rewatched Hobbs & Shaw this past weekend. Enjoyable movie, if completely unrealistic, good 3D and robust Atmos soundtrack, better than most.

This is the only film of the series I’ve seen that I like — extremely enjoyable action hokum, with very good 3-D, and The Rock and The Stath have dynamite chemistry. And the subtraction of Vin Diesel is always welcome.

Pirates is fun, film feels like it's in "slow motion" because the new director had to come to grips with shooting for 3D, but it's a fun enough flick.

Sadly one of the "slow motion" swordfights is shot in darkness, and there are a lot of very dark, stygian shots in the film. To the point that my DLP-Link glasses were losing sync when I first saw it.

BTW, I'd be curious to hear what gun pop out you see at the end of the film. I recall on here that when I said I saw some, other posters did not. Normally I'm the one missing the pop out everyone else sees.

Pan is one of the best conversions to come out of Hollywood.

So... I did something that I normally don't do but for €10 I didn't do no harm to myself or my wallet but I bit the bullet.

Monday I went to CeX store and while browsing the 3D movies I found this used OOP portuguese 3DBR+DVD edition with lenticular 3D slipcover of Avatar.

I know it is a movie I won't watch with burning desire but at least it is on my collection... now I need to buy both the remastered edition and Way of Water in 3D.

Still unwatched by me.

I have both the remastered Avatar and Avatar 2 in 3-D even though I don’t really like the movies much. I bought them to support the format and for the sometimes excellent (but sadly often absent) 3-D. They’re worth a watch for the occasional dazzling set piece scattered here and there. But as far as natively shot modern stereoscopic sci-fi goes, Prometheus and The Martian blow both Avatars away in all departments.

I watched Creature from the Black Lagoon for the first time. The beginning credits and opening sequence feel like the left eye is blurry but luckily when the film gets to the main characters it looks amazing. It has some moments where one eye is out of focus and there are others where movement looks weird, I'm guessing the two cameras weren't perfectly synced and one was recording like half a frame late. It has great depth throughout though. I don't know if I'd show this movie to my friends that are not so fans of the 3D because one hand the depth is great but on the other it's easy to get eye sore with some scenes.

The main issue is that it can make you go crosseyed just like "Comin' at Ya!" Other than that, it is a great 3D showcase and a pretty watchable B movie.
