But with the market shrinking and key titles now being licenced to different studios in each country which usually requires region locking the need to be multi region for Bluray is possibly as high as it has ever been for the hardcore collector

When are they going to announce the other slasher movie that's coming out, along with Pieces?

Kev: Is Wolf Guy the only Chiba Arrow has up their sleeve at the moment, or are there more stuff of his on the way?

A bit late for anyone to buy it in the sale obviously but Blind Woman's Curse arrived and it came with the booklet. The DVD is also now NTSC so I'm assuming it was just easier to use if the black levels were wrong on the original DVD as well (I never checked mine), as it's all fine on this one.

Is the Blu Ray region free now? I recently bought a new UK copy during the sale to replace my old copy with the gamma issue but haven't checked it yet.

It's coded Region A/B at least. Didn't check it on C.

Good to hear! I am region-free anyway, but it is nice to know I have the option to play it on my other machines now. Thanks.

I did the same on launch night and not had a cancellation request confirmation email or anything yet, but I'm not expecting it to be quick as i imagine it will be a manual thing and as the Arrow fella said they have ansolutely tonnes of emails etc to work through, and can't imagine they will be doing it at the weekend. I guess as it's paypal if the worst comes to the worst it can be disputed rhat way, but I imagine it will get sorted within a week or so. Then I think paypal hold your refunded funds for about a week or so too.

I guess then we've finally figured an easy way to check if your UK blu-ray has the corrected colours:

If the DVD has same running time as the blu-ray copy, give or take the odd second, then you've got the updated version.

Unless the DVD was always NTSC but that's unlikely.

Couldnt you just put in the blu ray and see if it has proper blacks?

if you want just a multi-region player and none of the other fancy stuff, they can be found pretty cheap now. I don't use my original BR player any more now that I have a PS4. HAven't made my mind up on whether to sell it on or give it to a cousin. Doubt I'll get anything for it, so it'll robably be the latter

Hey guys,

recently I noticed that many booklets I recieved with Arrow Video items (but also the BFI Napoleon and Birth of a Nation sets), arrive creased. Often its the outer corners that a creased, but sometimes its also a couple of pages in the middle of the booklet that arrives with totally creased corners. No idea how that happens. :O A few are also ripped on the back left side, probably due to the way the amaray is designed. Nikkatsu Diamond Guys Vol. 2 arrived with a completely waved cover page... As they often arrive like that I dont want to exchange them all, but I am always happy when I get a completely flat, uncreased booklet anyway. I just feel its annoying. Do you guys also have issues with that?

I often have the back left side issue (due, indeed, to how the Amaray clips are designed) but I don't think I stumbled upon the problem you describe.

As I had suspected, only Academy titles for us in April are the remaining Woody Allen titles.

Shame they didn't add at least one other title, but the US are getting the Yoshida set, Three Brothers and The Assassin so US folk will be happy.

Jesus Christ Arrrow, throw the non-Woody fans out there a little bit of a bone.
