Both Dee 3D movies are still available but only in German. Young Dee is also called "Detective Dee and the Curse of the Sea Monster" and I think also Detective Dee 2 in the German 3D version. Then comes the mildly painful task of aligning subtitles. But it is worth it

Hi cdx,

Glad you could work with the subtitles. Worth the pain.

Watched Sword of Granada AKA El Corazon Y La Espada from 3-D Rarities II… what a delight! Very charming little swashbuckling adventure, with excellent layered compositions that frequently place props or parts of the set in the foreground to enhance the sense of depth. Had a blast with it!

Watching young detective Dee rise of the Sea dragon. I know it's impossible to find but if anyone would be satisfied having just a detailed synopsis of the story to go by, then get the German release so to experience some breathtaking 3D.

I have subtitled discs of this one and its sequel and the native 3-D is absolutely spectacular in both. And the films themselves are excellent, two modern Tsui Hark classics, right up there with his vintage work IMO. C’mon, Turbine, license these two and I’ll upgrade in a heartbeat!

Not much pop-out (though there is some) some clunky camera zooming and the desolate landscape gets very samey but the depth is excellent and there's some variety with a trip to a cattle market and less impressive mountain.

Don't waste your money on this guys. I'm a pretty generous grader and I buy lots of crap, but this ends up near the top of the pile of shit I have. I mean the 3D was competent enough from what I remember, but I didn't want to remember after watching this.

The title is K2 The Most Dangerous Mountain in the World. But it's bullshit, cause who'd buy a title labeled, Let's Plan a Leisurely Hike to K2 Filmed in 3D, Not Climb It, and Mislabel the Movie by Hyping the Danger. Or, let's grab a couple friends and make a home movie of landing in Pakistan, check out a village, and take a leisurely tour up towards K2, show it from a distance, then go home.

Ah, sorry, but it if you must, but be forewarned. I still feel I was the victim of a bait and switch. LOL

These titles are often not much more than glorified home videos, it's true. I think I paid around £2 so I don't feel I wasted my money but yeah, if you are expecting to see the view from the summit of K2 then you'll be very disappointed, they only go as far as the upper base camp and even to do that have to throw more money at the reluctant locals. I didn't mind the shots of Kyrgyzstan and its people, it was like going back in time.

I think I paid no more than a few bucks as well. Funny, I have worse stuff in my pile, but this particular one got in my craw because I was expecting a certain experience, and received a totally different one. If they just labelled it differently, I might have said to you all, hey check this out. LOL

Anyways, eagerly awaiting the Turbine and Happinet releases... Those I'm sure will not disappoint. 80 years ago, they were our adversaries. Now they're our 3D saviours. Axis of 3D

I just had a quick look at my copy of Bumblebee and two things instantly stood out from the Cybertron intro.
First the colors are very muted. I assume the colors are the same as the VR stream I watched, but that was maybe a couple of years ago and since then I got used to the color of the "other" copies.
Second, The 3D intro is the real deal. Rise 3D is decent, but there's nothing that comes close to this. The 3D in this intro is as good as any of the Bayhem movies.

Just watched the Plan D 3D release of the vampire bat. It's an enjoyable early 30s horror flick with mild 3D conversion but worth the budget price especially for fans of that genre.

This is funny. Before the film Plan D announced that the 3D picture quality was below it's usual standards. The 3D effect suddenly then disappeared and it took me a few seconds to realize it wasn't the disc but my active glasses needing recharging

Watched Disney's A Christmas Carol, 3D was great of course. The funny thing was back in summer 2009 Disney did a 40-city interactive train tour and part of the exhibit was that scene of Marley visiting Scrooge, throwing the chains in the room, at the screen. I was impressed back then and always planned on seeing it in the theater that winter but never got around to it. 3D was great at home so now I am bummed I didn't see it in theaters like I had planned.

Watched The Polar Express in IMAX 3-D yesterday. It made the 3-D Blu look 2-D, absolutely no comparison. Depth for miles and objects poking out of the screen and hanging inches from your face. If you haven’t seen this in IMAX 3-D, you haven’t seen it. If it’s playing near you, see it at all costs. Amazing film, a thrilling Xmas rollercoaster ride. It’ll blow you away.
