Relaxing after taking a 2 mile run.....and the kids are not up yet....I enjoy this small amount of time I usually get in the morning.

Sounds pretty relaxing, I think I might go for a run today after I finish class. If the weather holds that is.

Now if you are willing to wait or try to find some used in agon i think they have these AC Liesure II SE sometimes at around $400. Heres one review on them http://www.enjoythemusic.com/Magazin...udspeakers.htm. Just food for thought
Thanks Lestat .

I am somewhat fotunate that I have an inexpensive pair of Polk Audio R150 Bookshelf Speakers I can start using right away. They are nothing special.Inverted design with the tweeter on the bottom woofer on top. However they do use MDF for the cabinets and 5 way binding posts(5 1/4inch Polymer woofer with a 3/4 inch silk dome tweeter).

Thet were a little less then $100 when I bought them new in Jan or Feb of this year(I used them only a couple of months before I upgraded all my speakers. And the Only place I could use them in is the Front Presence Spealers(which really give the Front Soundstage of Movies with a good amount of Dialog,an incredible boost to the depth and width of the Front Soundstage.
But I have to use the amp from the rear surround channels to power them. The more expensive Yamaha and Denon Flagship Receivers have 9-Channel and even 11-channel now.

Because I would Love to use these as Front Presence Seakers nut not in place of the Klipsch S-2's I Have in the Rear Surrounds. And if I switched back and forth between the 2 on gifferent movies I would have to run the YPAO Auto Callibration Program all the time.

But As I was saying I can use the Polk R150's until I could get a nicer pair of bookshelve Speakers.I have so many brands I want to audition it isn't funny. But of what I am familiar with I could see Mirage,Definitive Technology, and a couple others in the lead now.But that is ONLY Because I haven'y had a chance to hear the others like PSB and the ones you recommended.
And I also have a couple of pairs of Headphones and am in the market to get a nicer pair(@$50 to @$80) to do some listening that wont disturb anyone in the House.

Todd,

The Pioneer Elite wouldn't have been either the DV-48av or the DV-49av, would it?

Also, did you see my post in the Jamo Speaker thread?

Justin

I think the Model numbers you mentioned for the Pioneer Models may have been the ones. They sure Sound Familiar.

And I have been so busy replying to Posts yet I havent had a chance to get to the Jamo Speaker Thread,as of yet.But I can guarantee you I will have an oppertunity to read the post you were kind enough to leave behind.

But I am Greatful for you leaving the post so I would have the oppertunity to learn about some other speakers that I have never had a chance to listen to.

And to look at the different Lines and models they carry along with the prices.

Well I will certainly give you credit, crazy .

The job you did in covering up the old finish on the box, made it look entirely different. It could easily pass as a box you built yourself straight from Scratch.

I am curious to know if you have made a choice in which side, top,or bottom the Bass Slot will be located And is there an advantage to have it in any particular orientation.

I spoke to BD about this Todd , & he told me it did not matter where the bass port goes .

After all the thinking I did I have decided to leave the Bass port on the top ! That will leave the binding posts on the bottom out of site When I am done !

Well with there being NO Particular Way the Bass Slot has to go,the idea of keeping the Speaker Terminals on the bottom would be the best move,I agree.

That way you can hide the cable and connection. So I assume this weekend will be spent putting the Mozambique Finish on the Box.

And then I guess decision time comes. What Driver for the box.How do you power it:Plate Amp or Seperate Amp Channel.

You have a lot ahead of you crazy. But it sure sonds like a lot of Fun to be honest with you.
