According to EW.com's Michael Ausiello, the stunning April Lee Hernandez has joined the cast of Dexter's Season 5 as a recurring character.

Hernandez (ER, Freedom Writers) will be playing a new cop in the Miami Metro Homicide Division.

Dead or alive, you're coming with him! According to Deadline Hollywood, Robocop's Peter Weller, fresh off his excellent guest stint on Fringe, will be guesting on Showtime's Dexter.

Weller (Buckaroo Banzai himself) will be appearing on eight of the twelve Dexter episodes playing "a troubled Miami Metro police officer who gets caught up in an internal affairs investigation."

With John Lithgow playing a killer role last year, and now Weller, it makes you wonder: Which Buckaroo Banzai cast member will appear in Season 6?

It was looking good, but I can't believe the guy stopped recording after only being asked once. I'd be like "bish what makes you think this Dexter fan won't cut you, wrap you in plastic and dump the body"

Trailer has the season looking promising but I dont like the narrator in the trailer. It just doesnt seem Dexter.

I agree, I thought that was kinda weird.

Oh well it was amazing, I've watched it 3 or 4 times already.

It was a pretty good tease. Seemed to me like obviously more clever editing to make it seem like Dex spends all season long with everybody thinking he did it. But that won't be the case. It got me mildly more interested in the upcoming season. I'll watch either way, it's just definitely not the highlight of my tv viewing year.

that should be the case. they dont have a specific villain, its him being chased.

Yeah, I was expecting anything epic. I am very happy there is no villain because as I've stated many times I have been growing very tired of the "meet big bag, kill big bad" statement of every season. Also some point mid-season I joked that the only way to keep me even remotely interested in the show for another season would be to kill either Deb or Rita because they serve no purpose to the show anymore. And low and behold my wish was granted.

To bad it wasn't Deb I'm not a fan of her and find her pretty annoying but killing Rita will move the story forward and in an interesting way. Deb's death wouldn't really have changed anything I don't think.

Man that second one almost got to me. I've never been one to cry when watching tv, but I was pretty close when I watched the season finale last year, and almost did again when I watched that video. I'm a big sissy I guess.
