I just got the boxset. Can someone tell me if Lethal Weapon 2 is uncut? I went on IMDb and it was written that the BBFC cut a few small scenes out, even though it got an '18' rating.

It's a 15 Certificate now. It was reclassified on 01/11/10 with a running time of 109m 40s, and the BBFC say it was passed without cuts. It's a Warners title though and our BD's are usually ports of the US releases but in this case they haven't been re-released yet. So whether they'll get our release with some trims or they'll have a new unrated edition I don't know.

Thanks for the info. I know that E4 broadcasted the uncut version sometime last year or so. Anyhow I'm glad that the films are uncut now. However I'm pretty annoyed that the films aren't the directors cut(s).

Fascinating... I wonder if Warner underestimated the demand of this release. Given various stock problems. I've bought it a couple of times, and the one I got most recently, is thicker than the first ones. I can only assume it's from a new or different batch.

The new one is thicker with a different Blu-ray case. The slipbox also has some differences. While the old one has the "5 DISC BOXSET" printed on the front, the new one has it as a sticker (more aesthetically pleasing perhaps). And for some reason the top edge is black instead of blue.

Both slipboxes are slightly embossed on the front as well as the spine title.

Personally, I like the slim one because it's more compact.

Did they correct the spelling error on the back of the new box. The word should be 'sharp' not 'Sharpe'.

Haha, I forgot to check that. Funnily enough, that error is still there.

It's been going up and down quite a bit the last few days. So far It seems that £25.99 is the lowest it'll go.

I prefer the slim design as well. I'm glad I have that one. Although the picture of dynamite on the cover still makes no sense.

Dynamite is hardly a Lethal Weapon is it? I'm sure it comes handle with care warning sticker on it somewhere though.... Why can't we just have a picture of Mel and his Beretta or somekind of collage of badges, guns etc?

I found this. Some nice prop replicas....

I prefer the look of the thicker case!

I would pick this up, but there are no director's cut! I can't see why they didn't just include them on this set!

That's the first time I've actually seen the thicker case.

Mine is from Play.com, day of release and it's the thin case.
I've also never seen the thick cased version in any of the stores here.

Weird.

Weird.
I would have thought that the thick case would be for in-stores as it has the hole for the security tag and the four disk slim wouldn't be able to have a tag fitted (if it's the same design as the Toy Story Triple Play case).

Perhaps Lethal Weapon boxsets have been going walkabout and this is a reaction to it?

Maybe they should try a stick of dynamite....

I actually prefer the look of the thicker case. The spine in particular doesn't look as cramped.

I ordered from Amazon UK about a week and a half ago just prior to them getting it back in stock. It shipped 5 days ago when they got it back in stock so I am hoping it will arrive early next week. I'll advise if it's the new thicker case or not and that should hopefully answer any questions regarding what Amazon is now stocking.

Stuart Wilson's a decent actor, but he always seems to be a lame bad guy no matter which film it is.

Oh, and the scene after the credits was classic. That's how the franchise should have ended!
LW3 is not a bad film at all. It's inferior to the first two, and like you said it leans way too much towards comedy, but compared to LW4 it's a superior film by far. Chris Rock still gives me nightmares.

The first two movies are a coin flip in terms of which one is best. At least that's how I feel. Sometimes I think I like LW2 better, and sometimes not. Either way, it goes to show that a sequel can be just as good and sometimes better than the original if everyone involved tries hard enough.

Down to £22.47 now on Amazon. Still not within my desired £15-£18 price range for it yet but getting closer.
