So at what point or what size of a collection does it start to feel like it's become more about collecting and less about watching?

I'd try to cut down if I ever reached 500 because the lesser titles would start to get neglected

I've officially joined the 1,000 club. Probably not a good thing though as I have literally hundreds of titles that are unwatched and I barely have any space left on my storage racks, I have two very large ones and two small racks. I've been thinking about buying a new rack but I think what I really need to do is try to sell the titles I don't really watch/don't need to own.

Size doesn't matter. The person is all that matters

Penis size joke aside it is true though. There could be somebody with 50 Blu-Ray but all of them could be steelbooks because they want to collect steelbooks and that is all they care about while somebody could be well over 1,000 just because they love movies and want to watch a lot of movies.

Personally I fall into the second category. I have not liked renting ever since we got home one day and the movie we rented was literally covered in shit. So long ago that it was a VHS And I only go to theaters for the big movies my friends want to go to. So the best way to see a lot of movies when I have the money to do so is to just buy them. I am also pretty easy going and it takes a lot for me to hate a movie so that helps

Closing in on 2,000 but don't think I will hit it this year since the rest of the year will be filled with stuff like Friends that won't add big to the numbers but will subtract big from the wallet

I have over 1500 blus in my collection and I have watched all of them at least once. Im a school teacher so I'm usually too tired to do anything when I get off work. So I usually watch a bluray or two after work to unwind.

I don't rent or go to theaters so everything is a blind buy for me.part of the fun for me is trading titles that I don't like.

And for the record I dont watch any of the special features.
