No, I mean the movies. As in the films. As in the release that just happened two weeks ago and everyone and their grandmother now owns.

London Drugs is having a 15% off all blu-rays this month. Picked up the saga for $76.49 (posted price $89.95) in BC.

I watched Episode IV this weekend and my God, what an amazing experience.

I have purposely starved myself of this series for the past 9 months or so knowing that this BD release was coming.

I've seen the series many times before, but never on the big screen and never in BD. I think this is quite possibly the best I have ever seen the film, even better than the theatrical experience.

You can see all of the actors' makeup and dust and grime on the droids. The modifications were modest and acceptable. Perhaps I've just accepted the fact that GL will always be changing them. I still don't think we need the Han-Jabba scene on Mos Eisley.

Still, it was and is a wonderful movie. It was as if I was watching it for the first time.

Agreed. It's probably been 4 years since I watched it ALL the way through from start to finish. It was fun to see how rickety R2 really was (still better than the CG version, IMO), the brush strokes on Vader's helmet (I think that's why the RotS version never quite looked right) and how Alec Guiness' hairpiece was SO noticeable, especially from the back!

When the stormtroopers come pouring through the hatch in the opening scene and then Vader appears on the screen for the first time wearing that helmet, I'm 11 years old again. I love it. Worth every penny.
