![]() ![]() But I can tell you now. I will not pick up the new COD game. I dislike that community so much. Everybody is pretty much the same. Once they find a glitch(hiding in a rock, where no one can shoot you. But you can shoot him). All you hear is," Haha I went 80-0, Im better than you, blah blah". If I am not mistaken, Battlefield has a more mature community. Yes, I have glitched in a COD game before. I think it was just mainly getting up to a new room in a building. Somewhere where they still could kill me. So it wasnt like a(hide in a rock where they cant shoot me glitch) Last edited by AutomaticDriver; 04-30-2011 at 06:59 PM. |

There actually were SEALS playing the older SOCOM games. I don't know if they will get this new one, or if they even were on board like they were in the others as advisors, its so different. Former SEALS and DELTA operatives (vs official Navy support) did give advice to MoH and I think that is closer to SOCOM then anything.

anyway, does anyone know of any more videos coming out? im more interested in seeing some multiplayer action (online) as opposed to single player stuff. i also want to know if there will be any differences between 360 & ps3, or if we get another '360 port' ![]() |

Cool. I hope they continue to do with this what they did with BC2: constantly provide free maps via DLC.

what im trying to get an answer for (if its even known yet) is WHAT are the major differences between the ps3 & 360 version. if its some bs lighting or a rock looking clearer 10 yards away then i dont care. is 'spotting' coming to BF3? thank god they didnt implement the stupid commander thing also will it be like BF2MC where the medic has the mortar strikes and there is an artillery strike box/icon that comes up every 5 minutes or so? are there ammo & health boxes or is that up to teammates to decide to drop medic/ammo packs? |

Obviously Dice isn't going to ship one or the other in bad form. they said that both versions will essentially play the same. So the differences are going to mostly be visual. The PS3 will probably have better quality audio effects and more audio effects again. I'm not so sure though if the PS3 will end up with clearly better physics. It COULD, but they are dumping a lot of shading onto the SPE's and with audio and other precision checks happening on them, they may not have the processing time to also outdo the competition with physics. We'll see! I'm expecting a pretty polished product. Both Bad Company games were pretty swell in regards to the engine. buuuuuut you'll find me on PC for this one ![]() |

You have very unrealistic expectations and perceptions regarding storage capacity and its use. Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and God of War III are PS3 exclusive titles with lossless audio and have the best graphics yet they remain in the 25GB range with GOW III taking up 35GB in North America. Also while Killzone 3 does use up 45GB that is mostly just for the 3D pre-rendered cutscenes as the 2D only version is 35GB. And in case you didn't know already most if not all recent multiplatform titles contain 5.1 LPCM for the PS3 version. If you want a better port then the competing console asking the developers to waste time finding ways to fill up a 50GB BD that not even exclusive developers do is pointless.

DICE just came out and said a few days ago that some site was bs'ing the availability of beta codes, and that when the beta and/or codes become available, everyone will know about it. |

Do you think I should go ahead and pre-order this game now? Or should I wait till they have an actual release date?
BTW: There shouldnt be a push back on this game, right? I dont want to pre-order and find out in 2 months the game gets pushed back till March 2012. |

You gain nothing from pre-ordering it now, so I'd wait.
As long as the beta is done a few months in advance, and there aren't any game breaking bugs discovered, then I think they will do everything they can to make the first week of November. I don't think they will rush this like they did with MoH though - they'd be foolish to. |
