Read back all the posts, this disc is trash, just like the rest of the EB releases that many of us have had since the beginning of the week. I almost feel like starting a campaign of sorts against these EB titles. Money is tight these days and I hate to see people even waste their $10 on this.

This isn't good at all. It gives me very little hope for Equilibrium and if that movie turns out to be the same way as H20, I will cancel my pre-order since it wouldn't be worth the $13. It's a shame that some theatrical films are getting such poor releases on a premium product like Blu-ray. If they didn't want to put any effort behind this, at the most they should have only sold it to a small online market instead of a mainstream release.

Buy the triple pack, we are not going to see a better edition ever released in Region A for the movie. The only slim hope is that a distributor in Europe decides to release the movie, but that is a very long shot. I am pretty confident the poor Echo Bridge BD will be it for this film in America.

Here are some pics I posted from the Alliance release a while back. It's not from a BD drive, but it'll do.

I purchased my Halloween set (plus other Canadian titles) from Axelmusic. Highly recommended.

I'd also state that I've never seen the Halloween sequels look so good despite being 1080i transfers for 6 and H20.

I would settle for VHS or even Beta copies of H6 and H2O before I add Resurrection to my collection. I have such a deep personal hatred for that movie that you couldn't pay me to own the triple pack. Hopefully in the future Alliance will split these into three seperate releases.

Dimension DVDs used to be SO good. It is unfortunate that we won't get the same treatment on Blu-ray
Ugh, looks like one of those TV crops

For one, some people out there in the viewing public prefer 1:78 over 2:35. Personally, I prefer 2:35, but I don't necessarily mind 1:78. Some of my favorite discs are in 1:78.

It really comes down to personal preference. "Garbage" to you, might be completely fine to someone else.

I dont have this movie on DVD so I was thinking of getting the blu if its out early at Best Buy hearing all the bad reviews makes me skeptical. I havent read any of the reviews or seen screen shots just going by word of mouth here should i just find a copy of the DVD until I can find the triple pack somewhere cheap. I still may pick this up I love horror films and most of the Halloween movies and I can spare the $10. I dont know all I know is I am avoiding From Dusk till dawn and getting the alliance version I saw at Newbury Comics the other day.

Take a look at those screenshots. Nothing is cropped or read the review. They opened the mattes up. Does anyone have the VHS tape? I would bet being Super 35mm it is composited far differently than the 2.35:1 dvd's or theatrical releases.

I said "used to be" so good. It is easy to go back and pick them apart now, but for the time they were good releases. Yeah it could have used an anomorphic transfer, but they at least TRIED to put out something decent (5.1 sound, extra features, etc). EB seems to have thrown in the towel before even starting.

I'll bet if we go back and look at your DVD.com posts in 1999, you were loving the Dimension Collector's Series

That you're right on, I just wanted to point out that it looks like a crop I would normally find on an HDTV station such as TNT HD.
