You seriously need to get your head out of your a**. People's opinions are what they are. They are not wrong, no matter what their opinion is. Some people like going to the store and getting a bunch of movies for only $5. Times are tough right now. If it weren't for those Echo Bridge $5 releases with like 29 movies on them, some of us wouldn't be buying movies at all. My job is in trouble, so I stopped buying movies altogether for now. When you don't know someone else's situation, do not call them wrong, be ause guess what, that makes YOU wrong, and ignorant.

But they were right this time around? It's ninety seven more cents! If you can't spend that much money on getting a significantly better version of the film maybe you really should be reconsidering buying it. It's not like the EB pack was actually five dollars.

The EB triple pack is $7.99 at Best Buy.

It doesn't have the best transfers but, they aren't too different from the Canadian triple pack. H20 looks the same as the Canadian transfer, just in open matte ratio(1:78.1). Curse looks exactly the same. Resurrection also looks the same, just in open matte. The only difference in the Canadian version are H20 and Resurrection are in their original ratios(though there isn't any picture loss with open matte) and H20 and Curse have much better audio. Still, a fine release for the price.

I did say I didn't go deal hunting, and just used Amazon pricing earlier. I'm positive you could find a better deal on the Alliance release too. 7.99 is a really good deal though, and I doubt you could find the Canadian triple feature for that to ship to the US.

Do you really think that $28 for three movies is a "ridiculous amount of money"? I get that eight dollars is quite a bit cheaper but it's not like the Alliance one is some ludicrous amount. Any set that comes out under $10/movie with shipping is usually a good deal IMO. Obviously the EB is a better deal in terms of money alone though.

Also, do you own both sets? Because from what I can tell from reviews it isn't just the AR that's different. Everything about H20 was terrible on the EB release according to this site, and while the Alliance once isn't winning any awards, rumor has it that it can pass for an OK catalog release.

I would pay good money for a legit release of the producer's cut. Hell, as it is, I already own 4 different halloween 6 bootlegs.

Haha, that's funny. I'm not upset about anything. I just find you rather annoying.

Wow. I finally got around to importing it and I must say, at least for H20, it's a night & day difference. Even when it's on one disc with two other feature length films. It surpasses the single release by EB so much it's sickening. The only (potential) good thing about having the EB release is that, if they release a proper version, you can own both versions and count the first one as a special open-matte blu where quality isn't the concern. And did I hear that straight earlier? They made Resurrection open-matte too? At least they did that one right the first time around.

$27 for one movie isn't a bad deal if you are importing, so that completely justifies the purchase IMO. My blu-ray budget for the month may have took a hit but I'd rather have this release than a bunch of sub-par ones.

Resurrection on the US triple pack is open matte? I heard it was cropped.

Well I know it is open matte compatible. It was filmed on Super 35.

I recommend the EB triple pack over the Alliance one because of the more reasonable price. Curse looks the same and Resurrection and H20 look the same except they're in open matte. H20's transfer is literally the SAME but, with 5.1 audio and the correct ratio.
So I guess it is. I really don't see myself buying it but I'm going to take a wild guess and assume that this would be a selling point for the crazies. It's technically another edition/master if it is indeed open matte and not just cropped.

Yeah, someone at the OHMB took a look and said Resurrection was open matte on the US triple pack.

I'm watching Curse tonight from the Canadian triple pack. The DTS Master audio really serves this movie well.

The story might be a big cluster f^ck but the October/Halloween atmosphere is spot on and one of the very best in the series. Also Michael is brutal and pissed as hell in this one.

That's exactly why I love Curse. Michael is brutal in it too!

The sixth Halloween film in the original series (don't count the two Rob Zombie Halloween films as part of the original film series) The Curse of Michael Myers, is one of my favourite Halloween sequels. Probably like it a lot more than the previous entry in the series. Have got the Region 2 (UK) DVD of the shorter version (the theatrical cut?).

First time I remember seeing anything about the sixth Halloween film was when a trailer or promo was shown of it on a US cinema movies Top 10 chart programme on Sky back in the mid-90's. Been fascinated by this Halloween film since then. They did get that Halloween feel just right (like how Halloween 4 started).

Who currently owns the DVD/Blu-ray rights for Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers in the UK?
