Cool! Also, I did a quick search and it looks like that camera has tons of lenses that be used with it. That's incredible! What type of picture do each of the lenses give you? How many do you have and how many come with it right out of the box?

Technically none come with it lol, at of the times you buy the body alone for these cameras, canon usually has a standard lens that you can get as a package with the camera though.

Speaking of my PC though check this out - http://www.guru3d.com/article/guru3d...december-2011/

Oh, ok. I didn't think that many lenses could be used for just one camera lol, but it is a high priced and quality camera by the looks of it.

Awesome! You got picked for rig of the month, that's really cool! I see that you've overclocked your i7 to 5GHz, nice! It has to be water cooled to reach that frequency though, right? You can't do that with just a fan, can you?

I didn't know you spent that much on this by the way. You bought it all at the same time or did you slowly build it in parts?

Again though, congratulations! What prize did you get?

yeah there are a crazy amount of lenses you can get for it lol, so of the lenses cost many times the camera body itself.

Yeah i was psyched to win the contest, the i7 is at 5.0 now but soon 5.5 You could get pretty high 4's and maybe 5.0 if your chip didnt need a lot of voltage to hit 5.0 on a GOOD air cooler.

I built it over time. One thing to keep in mind is my watercooling alone was $800 or so of that price

Congratulations! Psst.....just sell the OCZ ssd on eBay and pocket anywhere from $157-$190 (from what I've seen completed auctions sell for).

Although it's received overall positive initial reviews, most OCZ ssd's are for long-term reliability.

No, not really. I only did so because I have a stock fan for my 2600K and not a high end cooler, saving up to get the Corsair H80 though.

4 monitors, you must be a PC gamer otherwise why would you need 4, am I right?

I am a gamer but haven't been a PC gamer in a very long time but I'm hoping that will change. I'm a 3D artist and always have multiple programs opens so it's nice to have the luxury. It's definitely overkill but I still find use for them

Having said that, I will drop everything to play Half life 3 when it finally graces us with it's presence.

Went to my local MicroCenter and built my sister a light browsing desktop. She needed everything except for a monitor, mouse & keyboard. Not bad for $341 out-the-door ($308 after rebates).

CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad Core Black Edition
Motherboard mATX: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB DDR3-1333 CL9 1.5v
Optical Drive: LG 22x DVD-rw/CD-rw
SSD: Patriot Pyro 60GB Sata III
Power Supply: Inland ProGold 500W
Case: Linkworld Mid-Tower
Misc.: MicroCenter 16GB usb flash drive

This little sucker is fast. It boots quicker than my machine.

Hello boys. Any of you bother to grab a TV Tuner/PVR of some sorts? I know it's a lower end card, because it doesn't do HD, but the Hauppague 1250 is a beast, at leas on my desktop. I've had it record entire days worth of programming on TCM, and it just keeps on chugging. It's also not very taxing on my system. I'm impressed, because I've read a lot of reviews where people said that Hauppague cards are junk.

Also, anyone want to suggest a very modest OC level for my laptop's graphics card? The new one I bought has an AMD Radeon HD 6470 M, with 512MB GDDR3. It clocks at 900MHz for mem, and 800Mhz for core. It's only a 64-bit bus, and where it is only a week old, I want to get a little extra oomph, but not too much. Trixx Sapphire allows me to OC it. I'm not going to be using this for a lot of gaming (only for really low level stuff like The Sims 3 if I get bored and I'm not home near my desktop.). It's more for word processing, web surfing, watching the odd film (sometimes via HDMI as it does have a BD Drive), and for messing around in Photoshop.

My model isn't one of the ones with switchable graphics either, as custom build Sonys are almost as expensive as MacBook Pros up here, and I just wanted to replace my 4 year old PoS Compaq with something a bit sturdy. I just went middle of the road with the Sony, as it was on clearance sale for 850, because it's the June 2011 model. I know my card is relatively low end for gaming, but for the other stuff I want to do, it's more than fine. Certainly better than onboard Intel though, which my last few laptops have had.

I'm using the HDHR3 Prime from Silicondust. This is the best tuner that I've ever used. I just built 2 more HTPC's to go into my bedroom and the guest room. No more cable boxes! The HDHR3 Prime plugs directly into my router and my WMC equiped PC's can pick it up from there. My PC's are all hardwired for the fastes connection available. It's been working great!

Finally getting ready to buy a new monitor... having a tough time deciding between the Dell 24" and 27"... I'm hoping the 1200 res won't feel too square compared to ole' standard 1080p.

I'm going to set up DNLA on my computers, and hopefully I'll be able to stream a BD from my desktop and/or laptop to my piddly little netbook and a VGA monitor in my bedroom. I only have a CRT TV from 2003 and LG region free DVD player from 2005, with S-Video connections in there, and my netbook only takes VGA for an external, and my LCD monitor is freaking old (4:3). However, I think I have an adaptor of sorts if I get a DVI based monitor and retire my old CRT TV and figure out how to hoop up my DVD player to it. I'm not really looking hard, as I hardly watch TV in my bedroom anyways. I'm just going to play around to see if I can do that.

Haven't OC'ed the graphics card in the laptop yet, but it works quite well, despite the wonky WEI rating. I'm only getting a 3.1 for Aero performance (with no visible problems), yet I'm getting 6.4 for gaming and 3D graphics. WTS is up with that? I'm able to run The Sims 3 with a FPS limiter (Game is more than fine at 30 FPS, if you'rwe running it higher, your graphics card is gonna overheat and die as it only needs 30 FPS) on high with really smooth playback. I think it's a Sony issue, as apparently Sony is terrible for video driver support. Oh well, it works enough for what I want to do, and Photoshop CS5.5 works fine.
