Wonder when the Force of Evil BD review will be posted? I really enjoyed the film, Garfield gives a monumental performance under Polonsky's sure-handed direction. (and even better script)

Fans of Film Noir rejoice.

Stay tuned. As you've no doubt noticed, Olive has really been releasing a lot of product, and I'm chipping away at it by sales rank.

While the transfer appears superior (sharper) to the French BD I own (which is identical to the Summit release they compare this to), this could have been the definitive edition.

Yeah really shocked OLIVE put two films on one 25 GB disc! That is really crazy! I have the Japan BLU release w/ commentary track that I imported a few yrs ago... I will be holding onto it. Curious if the US edition image quality can beat the Japanese edition. Wow EPIC FAIL OLIVE! Uncompressed audio no matter if it is a mono soundtrack should be the industry standard.

I canceled my pre-order for Bound. (replaced it with Johnny Guitar)

Just can't support these kind of production choices with my hard earned money. Olive should have put this package on a dual layered BD-50 with a DTS-HD MA audio track. (a higher price point would have been acceptable, like in the case of 1900) I would have even been happy with the theatrical (or unrated) cut of the film on a single layered disc with a lossless track. We are talking about 16 seconds of film after all.

Yeah, sounds like Olive made some really dumb & bad decisions with Bound. Fortunately for me I've had the French BD (region free) for some time and am quite satisfied with it. Pro-B gave it a nice review, and if you get in on one of G:Box's group buys from France you can get it fairly inexpensively.

Any chance we'll see Little Darlings from Olive?

well what's funny is at least to dvdbeaver the Olive Bound does beat the Japanese release as far as PQ even with the single layer, etc. etc.
don't know about the French release.
not saying Olive made a good decision, but......

According to Olive itself, Pursued has not been delayed:

It's never wise to go entirely by Amazon or any other retailer. Their specs are frequently wrong.

Still a big fan of Olive films, just disappointed in one release.

The Garfield films are a real treat.

Yeah, that's the real rub. I like more options as much as anybody but this really does seem like a strange reason to hamstring both cuts.

There are a few slight creases around the edges though. And I wish back covers would be a little more informative and include tech specs etc.

Instead of superfluous stuff like slipcovers, I'd rather get ENG subtitles.

I'm sure my trash collector won't be offended. My slipcovers go in the garbage like other excess packaging.
