US$300 a pop for just the Robocop figure.
It's not a cheap hobby my friend.

The Robocop set with chair and ED209 will cost you $430 and $410

Robocop looks freakin' sweet. I'd probably consider it at sub $200, but for $300 it's an easy pass. The voice deal seems a bit hokey.

Still impatiently waiting the official Man of Steel reveal

No I understand that I've only collected for about a year but it's obvious. I mostly just meant I'd get it if it was available in the secondary market cheap or something. I kind of figured when they said it was diecast it would be more.

Plus I'm limiting myself as to what lines I buy and only will get stuff I really want. The bulk of my collection is Nolan Batman aside from the DX10 T-800. Also have the battle damaged DX13 T-800 on order and will probably pick up Man of Steel figures (providing the film is good).

The 200th Movie Masterpiece figure from Hot Toys is...

Superman as portrayed by Henry Cavill in Man of Steel.

All pictures in spoilers because big:

It looks like you can put him in a flying pose without too much stress on the clothing:

As a celebration and gift to fans of Hot Toys (or Man of Steel fans in general), a 1:1 (yeah, that's right 1:1) scale replica of the Kryptonian Command Key will be included.

The head sculpt and costume look great to me. I will agree with some comments I read on the Sideshow Collectors message boards that the body seems a bit too big. Of course these pictures are just prototype stuff though so the final product may still be tweaked. Personally I loved Man of Steel and will pre-order this figure. Hoping he's around $200-220ish. I'll also probably get Jor El and provided they make them General Zod and Faora.

For sure, Superman will be a preorder for me. I may have to cancel my War Machine die cast in favor of this figure. It could have been better if they made a DX version of Superman where you could dress him up as Clark Kent...

That head sculpt is pretty amazing. I hope the body is just a prelim for the prototype because he's WAY too big.

I was really hoping they'd open the preorder today with some sort of Sideshow Exclusive.

You never know it could still go up later. Not really sure what they'd include as an exclusive. Superman is a pretty basic character so hands and the key, plus the 1:1 key are pretty nice extras.

They usually put the preorders up in the afternoon after they do the reveals. But my hip is on extra high alert for the preorder notification.

I can't really think of what they'd offer as an exclusive either. I'm kind of surprised the 1:1 key isn't an exclusive.

I think the $199.99 price for this is great. I was actually expecting more. Already placed my pre-order with Sideshow flexpay. I really can't wait for it, even though it's going to be a ways off.

Agent Coulson is on his way to me. I ordered him last November while the Selina Kyle/Catwoman I ordered in September is not planned to ship until next month (hopefully).

Got Coulson yesterday and a bit saddened at the choice of packaging. Hot Toys is using tape to keep the inner box closed. So now you gotta cut tape to get to the figure. I'll post pics later after I flip a coin of decision to do this or not.

They've been doing that for a couple years at least with MMS figures.

They don't look nearly as good in the box

Really though, it's better if you're buying a figure on the secondary market to know if it's really new and sealed or not. DX's are relatively easy to repackage and advertise as new.

I'm really pleased with the Loki figure I received last week. The outfit is amazing, as is the headsculpt, but the helmet was a pain in the a** to put on. I also just went on the wait list for Hulk (the product photos look great, namely the paint apps, and I completely caved)... I hope it converts.

I am also on the fence regarding the Hulk...maybe I should try my luck.
