They show 4400 in HD at least in other countries for example

First, I am in NO WAY advocating piracy!!! IMHO captures of OTA broadcasts are a far cry from rips of disks

High def captures of OTA broadcasts are routinely posted in usenet... learn to download the mkv files, convert them to mp4, and then you can play them on your ps3 from a memory stick, usb drive, burned data disk, or better yet, stream them over your home network

I can neither confirm nor deny, but the Heroes mkv files just MAY have been available for MONTHS

I buy a lot of shows on dvd (162 boxed sets and counting) so I would love to see more shows on Blu ray. I'm hesitant to buy stuff like Smallville since I have heard they have zero plans to release the earlier seasons on Blu ray. I suppose that is likely to change depending on sales.

I have Smallville Season 6 on preorder.

I have a good list of shows that I want on Blu-ray.

I know 24 and Stargate Atlantis have been announced for Blu-ray but there's still no official release date in sight.

TV shows on DVD take up way to much room on my wall.
I hope most TV shows that come out on Blu-ray will be about the same size as the Planet Earth box set. If that happens I would save about 70% wall space

I'm like a lot of other people as well ...having to buy tv shows on dvd until they come out on blu-ray.

My favorite shows Buffy, Angel I would like to see these on blu-ray.
I would also want Grey's Anatomy, Shark, Smallville, Damages among many others.

Finding reviews and previews of blu-ray tv series in this section is like looking for needles in a haystack. When will there be a blu-ray tv section? Isn't it going to be necessary sooner or later?

Well currently there's not much there for TV on BD. Until the release schedule ramps up in 2008, you won't see a seperate section.

However consider yourself lucky. DVD didn't even have "TV on DVD" in the first two years. We're spoilt!

So be it. But I think it's a good idea to have it now because it's hard to sort them out from the movies section where they don't belong, and for the mods it will save all the trouble moving the dozens of TV threads later. The fact that the section will look empty for now doesn't take away from the inevitable importance of the section.

OK I know LOST season 3 is due out on Dec 11 and Nip/Tuck recently released season 4 on blu as well.

My question is why and when are we going to see more shows added to the blu library? There is absolutely no doubt that TV shows make up a large part of the DVD sales and would do the same on blu.

I really like Pushing Daisies too, but there have only been 2 episodes...it may be too early to call it amazing. I thought the 1st season of Prison Break was amazing after the 1st episode and it turned out to be true so PD may or may not have a great season...we shall find out.
