If in a few more days if it goes International and social media can really get pumped up to spread the word again, then I think you could see them go over 5 million in less than a day and maybe reach the 7-10 million range by the end. I think Rob needs to be able to give us a reunion on a nuclear submarine with Billy Murray as the Captain.

I had a dream last night that I was really rich and offered 3 million dollars if they made sure to include at least one Lily flashback and Mac was in the cast for sure.

Sure wish Bill Gates was a big fan.

I hope this has gotten enough attention at WB for them to release the series on blu-ray too. Everything was edited for HD so it really should be plenty doable. But I don't see even a hint of a mention of it. I managed to record the last few episodes off a TV in HD but that's all I have for HD (and even those are hardly blu-ray quality).

But we can talk about that later, for now we got the movie!

It sucks that it's available in HD on amazon streaming but we don't have a proper blu-ray release of the show.

Now's the perfect time! The VM brand is getting national coverage, and what better way to drum up support for the upcoming movie than HD versions of the show.

And please, they need to make it available on netflix asap. That in itself is a huge market.

I remember watching this video 4 years ago and being so excited that she wanted to do the movie. She talks about WB telling them there's not enough interest in the film.

Well, if they start now, it's only like 10 posters a day.

while people would love to try to bring back every show that ever got cancelled, the truth is 99% of them just would not have the interest/fanbase to make it happen. Carnivale is a perfect example. Good show or not, it would not pull in near the numbers VM is.

That's almost exactly what I wrote, except you wrote it better and you missed my pot reference (stoners see the number 420 tonight after getting baked, and we've got 5 million dollars easy).

Carnivale was an expensive show on account of retaining a large cast. Such a shame we never got seasons 3-6.

Honestly, I am just happy I am getting a return of the one show I wanted to see return in some form. I mean there are more, but this topped the list for sure. This I needed.

And what the hell Canadians? I suppose many feel like it's already funded so why bother. Too bad they couldn't have been included in the beginning. If only they'd set the bar higher off the bat. Though that would have been risky and they didn't even know they'd be able to get 2 Million.

I agree about Netflix Instant. GET THIS ON THERE NOW! WTF? It used to be on there. If it were on there now it would be getting a ton of new viewers.

Was happy to open my new issue of Entertainment Weekly today and see a nice article about the Kickstarter campaign. Now that it has set records can we get the cover soon please?

I waited until now to donate because I had to see how much it would cost me at the vet first. I wasn't sure what was wrong with my dog. But I took her today and pledged $100.00 just now.

Harvey Weinstein said he'd distribute Veronica Mars:

A chuckling Weinstein, who made the list of the Observer’s 100 Most Influential New Yorkers, told VF Daily that the paper’s less-than-flattering illustrations don’t bother him. “I like the illustrations. It reminds me of Hirschfeld.” Weinstein also mentioned that he thinks using Kickstarter to raise funds for a Veronica Mars movie is a good idea. “Why not? I love Veronica Mars, and I love Kristen Bell,” he told VF Daily. He’d consider picking up distribution, should it get made. “If they give it to me, I’ll be happy to distribute it.”

He'd probably withhold it for forever , but it's cool he's a fan.

It is new - Melissa McCarthy hosting again (unfortunately). I don't know if they'd mention it or not. I kinda doubt it.

I remember a few months ago when asked, Knauf replied on twitter he would need a couple hundred million (since each episode cost $3.5 million), 4 years, and all his cast and crew in order to continue the series.

The problem that show faces over VM is that HBO is being stingy with the rights.

Knauf tried to continue the show through a graphic novel series with Marvel a few years back, but HBO wouldn't let go of the rights.

I wouldn't doubt it at all. It's kinda news-worthy.
