And yes, I hope Paul WS Anderson amped up the 3D in RE6 now that many of our 3D standards have been raised. Filmed 3D needs to be strong like Hugo 3D or Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D are.

I love stop motion movies!!!

I own both Paranorman 3D and Coraline 3D. Stop motion is just wonderfully stylistic! It's an unique artform that can never be rendered irrelevant by CGI.

Despicable Me 2 is coming out 10/1 as well. That day is absolutely loaded. Off the top of my head I can't remember a day when so many 3D Blus were being released at the same time.

I remember watching Paranorman 3D in theaters and thinking during him brushing his teeth in the mirror, "The animation is great. I can't believe this is stop motion". Very impressive considering it's much more difficult to manipulate actual character models on pegs compared to computer animation.

I sold my Paranorman 3D, one viewing was enough for me on that, but kept my Coraline 3D which was a nice story with nice 3D.

Have you seen these, not in 3D, but great stop motion movies non the less.

Aardman (Wallace & Grommit, Chicken Run, is Pirates directed by him also or just produced?) as mentioned, but also: Clokey (Gumby, Davey & Goliath), Burton (Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie 3D), and the unforgettable Rankin & Bass classics (Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer, Rudolph's Shiny New Year, Easter Bunny films, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc). I'd like to see a lot of these converted to strong 3D one of these years.

Awesome! Thanks for the list. I'm really looking forward to 300 rise of an empire next year. I hope it has good 3d. Im hoping the 3d and the animation on the new Charlie Brown movie will be awesome! Charlie Brown is my childhood. I can't wait till 2015 that's a huge year for films.
