Not that many 4K copies at Target. I counted about 6 copies in the Electronics department.

Lots and lots of the BD though.

Might be worth a shot, yeah. Especially if you did indeed pay extra for delivery on release date, then you should definitely see about getting something chopped off the price paid.

My UPS tracking info is once again showing "Destination Scan" as of 4:50 this morning.

Which still irritates me after yesterday's "We'll be in your neighborhood today, so we'll deliver it instead of transferring it to your local PO." that never happened.

I'm HOPING that means they (UPS) will still deliver it today, rather than following through with the Post Office hand off. I'm sure the various "Smart Ship" options save the retailers some cash, but it just means my package spends an extra day or two kicking through USPS' system just 3 blocks from me.

Looks like the 4K copies are flying off the shelf fast even here in MA.

I see a trend towards people going for 4K rather than blu ray even if the 4K is regular instead of steelbook.

The annoying part about Amazon is the 4k says "in stock"

My local Target had about six copies in the Entertainment department and three at the new release endcap by the registers. I've never seen nicer condition slipcovers on a new release.

Good to hear. Nothing more satisfying than throwing a nice, crisp slip into the recycle bin.

Just got notified my copy is ready for pickup.

I just talked to a BBY rep and he assured me that if my order won't be delivered today (it won't) that my shipping amount will be $0.00 so my total for a brand new 4K movie will be less than $12.

Yeah, I’m not going anywhere near that rabbit hole.

Btw has anyone who saw this in a Dolby Cinema had a chance to watch the UHD yet? This will be the first movie I saw in a DC that I’ll also be getting on UHD and I’m just curious how it matches up to how folks remember seeing it in the cinema.

I saw Quiet Place in the theater and loved it but not sure if I am in a hurry to see it again or need it in my library.

I may be fine waiting for it on iTunes for the eventual $10 sale.

The creature apparently went though a redesign weeks before release. I would love to see that process.

If you are only giving me the movie only and some EPK garbage, I can wait or rent.

Give me something for my $30.

Good to know. As an "Elite Rewards" member (or whatever they call it) I had free shipping. Still, I'll have to see if they can knock anything off what I paid, since UPS is still just showing my package as "Preparing for delivery". Which, in my experience, in my neck of the woods, by 11am if it doesn't say "Out for Delivery", it's not going to happen.
