All The Money In The World is by far the best thing Ridley Scott has cranked out this decade by far. I know The Martian gets a lot of love but something about Money's operatic grandeur I find very appealing and its bleakness feels like a refinement of the cynicism (though not outright nihilism) in he indulged in with previous efforts this decade like The Counselor and Alien Covenant.

Haven't watch Contact in years, so I bought it yesterday and watched it last night. Great movie! Forgot how enjoyable it is, also holds up well after all those years.

I love No Country For Old Men and Fargo but The Ladykillers is my favorite Coen Bros film. I've never seen the original but the Coen's picture is absolutely brilliant. The dark humor, the eccentric characters, the mood, the irony, and the soundtrack make this film, to me, an absolute masterpiece in filmmaking.
