Aladdin should be the most different from it's Blu-ray release - it will contain the new full animated aspect ratio of 1.66:1 and returning to the original CAPS animation file sources should result removal of edge enhancement present on the previous Blu-ray master. To me they are all worth upgrading - Lion King's color and compression is better and fixes the mistake in the clouds on the previous version. Mermaid fixes several issues with shots that were out of order and has better color and detail. In addition all digital copy codes are 4k and have Dolby Vision versions available through Vudu.

If they're going for 1.66:1, it looks like the mouse will be doing a brand new master instead of rehashing the old 1.85 master (which I thought was 4k SDR, but isn't the case according to that1guystudios). I don't know if the bulk of the film will still contain the IMAX revisions or utilize the original 1992 CAPS element, but I say there's a high chance we could get the 1985-2006 Walt Disney Pictures logos back into the start and ends.
I also noticed it's now available on Vudu again. Anyone check to see if they're using the new 4 master, the 1.85 BD one, or the 1.66 master used for the 2003 DVD? |

The one you’re seeing is the upcoming Signature, which should be the 4K master (hopefully!). No one will be able to see that one until the digital release date. |

Wow that is dumb. Wonder if they’ll make a double feature FT for $41-$43. That would be great so it triggers discounts on other eligible 4Ks.

My guess is that they will have them as the double feature title, and a triple with the sequels’ blu combo. |
