Any leaks/news rumors about how Arrow is doing in acquiring the AIP dubs for the for ones that had them ? I like to sell my shout dvds to help pay for this set if they can get those dubs , I hope .

AIP dubs/versions are in the public domain although you are correct; being AIP, MGM would have the "official" owndership.

Fortunately, they have a deal with Arrow.

Even so, it is sort of important to notify them about the different dubs (and versions) for each film.

I've been a bit out of the loop on this set, have they shown what the size of the packagingis going to be? I'm hoping it will go nicely with my Criterion Godzilla set.

Glad y'all like this comic book art, but I hope there's room in there for some ORIGINAL JAPANESE art. That would class up this set, and set it apart from the pop-art Godzilla set.

Doubtful. Seems like Arrow commissioned only Matt Frank for the art. If there were other artists, I'm thinking we would have seen something from someone else by now.

I think he might have meant original Japanese poster art from the theatrical releases...?

Exactly. Japanese poster art for the films, and some other vintage Japanese art (like the anatomical monster diagrams, which I believe SF used in their DVDs).

Maybe in the booklet but not sure about on the outer box itself.

I just looked at the OP, and it says the booklet includes "kaiju x-ray," so there's that.

I was looking for the official release date, because I got an estimated delivery date of Thursday, July 30, via email from Amazon.

Arrow is making their July announcements this Friday, so maybe full specs for this set will pop up alongside them.

Hopefully with a more full scale image of the box set. I want to know if it'll fit nicely on my shelf or if I'll have to put the discs into a custom case like the Criterion set.

It's a dual-region release, so it should be region free.

I would love it if this set was the same size as the Godzilla set. They would go nicely together.
