This Predator 5 has potential and we need a real AvP adaptation (how about an anime?) but I will never side with Disney. Good luck to the brothers.

Reminds me of the current situation with Friday the 13th a little bit. That film series now lounges in limbo because of it. Interesting to see what happens.

I am very interested with this fifth Predator, they've seem to come up with a good hook that's outside of the series usual comfort zone.

Have you read the story about how Steven Seagal really wanted the lead role in Predator 2 but wanted to make him a CIA-psychiatrist who was also a martial arts expert who carried a gun? He met with the director and really weirded him out.

Makes sense. Predator is the Friday the 13th to Alien's Nightmare on Elm Street. One is more violent and with less critical acclaim and the other's one of the most acclaimed and groundbreaking series, sequels aside.

I too was thinking about that as the new Alien ongoing isn´t being delayed but Marvel is changing distributors in a major way so them putting projects that still have to start on pause might also be blamed on that.
