You could say that six villains did come through, except one of them opted to just stay in Mexico and get drunk.
I do have one question though, it’s been a while since I’ve seen ASM2, but was there a moment where Electro found out Peter’s identity? I don’t remember there being one. |

The main characters in NO WAY HOME act moronic and treat everything like a joke- as if they realize they’re in a silly comic book and nothing has weight. The elder statesmen villains bring their A-game.
It’s the Spider-Man version of ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. I had a good time, but missed when these movies better balanced the spectacle and levity with sincere human drama. That said, I got what I paid for. It delivers in the fan service department and I look forward to seeing the boys again. |

So by wiping away the memory of Peter and his “crimes”, do MJ and Ned actually get accepted into MIT this time since they’re not affiliated with a vigilante?
The college rep was going to put in a good word for Peter and his friends, but I imagine she didn’t do so in time before Strange’s spell. |

Did Peter get his inspiration for his new costume at the end from seeing the other Peter's in their Spider-Man costumes? From the YouTube video it looked lighter in color but is it the only difference or was it the most comic accurate Spider-Man costume to date?

I'm sure we will see Tom Holland Spidey and Tom Hardy Venom in a same movie at some point. I think Peter will get the symbiote that was left. Then Venom gets it back and gets the white spider symbol.

Seems like it. Very happy about that to be honest, as Hardy's comedy version of Venom is not something I want to see in the MCU, I'd rather Marvel Studio's do Venom a little more seriously and Sony can keep Hardy's Venom it's own thing.

Big oof. Big feels. It made me so happy! There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, I'm sure, but I was smiling from start to finish. Parts of my childhood I thought I'd never see or feel again, I felt watching it all on screen. Doc Ock was perfect, and I loved that we got to see both sides to him. Goblin was perfect- Defoe was, and continues to be, just SO damn good in the role, and now I'm totally onboard for him as Joker at some point. Foxx was better as Electro this time, I thought. Still didn't have as much to do as the others, but you could tell he was having a lot of fun with it. Sandman was always one of my favorite Spidey villains, and even though he didn't have as much to do, he had a bigger role than I expected. Lizard too- he and Marko didn't have as big a role, but I'm glad they didn't just show up and disappear.
And the Spideys- what is there to say? It was just so perfect, and it honestly felt like they'd been listening to fans. Almost everything people had wanted to see- web shooter comparisons, Andrew catching MJ, etc., happened and then some. It was just so perfect. In Chris Stuckmann's review, he mentioned that this was the closest it felt to having Spider-MAN in the MCU. It felt much darker and more grown up. Peter made more decisions himself, and even held his own against frickin' Doctor Strange. I know nothing is entirely set in stone as to whether or not Tom is coming back (or so they say), but I hope he does stick around. I just love his portrayal so much, and watching him toughen as the years go both has been, and will be a treat. Heck, between Venom, Scorpion, Vulture, and all the other villains not yet done like Kraven, Black Cat, Rhino (which, speaking of, was that his silhouette in the rift at the end? Looked like him to me), there's plenty of ground still left to cover. I think they could even still introduce Harry Osborne. Norman never got to finish what he was going to say about him finding this universe's Harry, which means they could easily retcon it later. I knew it was never going to happen, but it would have made me SO happy if they'd released new versions of "Hero" and "Vindicated" from the original Raimi soundtracks, but have them covered by the opposite of who covered them before. You know, in sticking with the Multiverse theme. Nobody else I know thinks this is a good idea, but I love it! Those songs were, and continue to be, bops. ![]() |

Nick Fury Skrull caused all of this to happen when he had Peter reveal who he was to Mysterio. I don't think real Nick Fury would have been so careless with anybody's secret identity but then Peter was so eager to believe & trust Quinten Beck/Mysterio. I don't suppose Nick Fury (real or Skrull impersonator) was in this movie even attempting to help Peter? I kind of want to see Peter get revenge on Talos fake Nick Fury but then his mind was probably erased also of any knowledge of Peter Parker.

Thoughts on Venom. The symbiote must remember what happened to the Topher Grace version. The spell was pulling people in looking for Peter Parker. That would have to be the case for him being there. Tobey mentioned his battle with Topher Venom too. The bit of symbiote being left behind would likely seek out Peter. Whether Tom Hardy is the MCU Venom is still to be seen. He could be. If Peter sheds the symbiote, it would likely seek out Eddie again. Twist on the comic origin, but it would work.

The fact Eddie goes back to the Sony timeline makes me think they won't have an MCU Eddie at all, but that also raises the question of what happens when Peter sheds the symbiote. I'd love to see Agent Venom, but it'd be weird with this incarnation of Flash.

Great movie, but maybe someone can tell me if I missed something within the plot that explains why Eddie Brock/Venom was pulled into the MCU. I thought it was explained that the other villains were pulled in because they knew who Peter Parker was - but as far as I can tell, Eddie/Venom did not… what am I missing?
